Our focus on the MLB is dwindling, I'll admit it. The English Premier League is already in full swing, College football is back this weekend, and the NFL is one step closer to returning as well. It's time for baseball to take a back seat. However, on this fine Tuesday, I'll admit, there isn't much else going on. We've had a solid baseball betting season so far, and as I've stated before, I'd like to end up north of 20 units in profit before we call it quits on the season. Maybe we get there today with Tuesday's expert MLB picks.

Houston Astros vs. New York Yankees MLB Picks

Ben Rice and the Yankees have won six of their last seven games. Pay the juice to back them at home tonight.
Astros vs. Yankees Pitching Matchup
- Houston Astros: RHP Ethan Pecko (0-0, 4.91 ERA, 1.64 WHIP)
- New York Yankees: RHP Will Warren (8-6, 4.43 ERA, 1.40 WHIP)
Best Bet: Yankees ML (-138) Lucky Rebel Sportsbook
Swallow the juice and back the Yankees with me at home tonight. Mainly we are fading Ethan Pecko and the Astros, as this man has only pitched 3.2 innings in the big leagues this season. Now he has to face the Yankees on the road, good luck bud.
Sure, there is still no Aaron Judge for New York, but the Yankees have won six of their last seven games overall and are 33-28 overall at home this year. Will Warren gets the start for the team in pinstripes. He is rocking a higher ERA through three starts in the month of August, but in his last few at home, he as allowed five, three, zero, two and two earned runs. I'd like to think he gets back to the norm tonight by shoving against the Astros who are hitting just .234 this month.
Milwaukee Brewers vs. New York Mets MLB Picks

Kyle Harrison has crossed he double digit threshold for wins for the first time in his career
Brewers vs. Mets Pitching Matchup
- Milwaukee Brewers: LHP Kyle Harrison (10-3, 2.84 ERA, 1.11 WHIP)
- New York Mets: LHP Zac Thornton (3-4, 3.04 ERA, 1.15 WHIP)
Best Bet: Brewers -1.5 (+114) Lucky Rebel Sportsbook
We are backing the Brewers by two on the road. Sure, it might be a bit scarier playing in Citi Field, but they have a stud on the mound and I don't see this ball club showing any signs of slowing down. Kyle Harrison has 10 wins on the season. Yes, he has MUCH better splits at home than on the road, but he is still a solid pitcher, and gets plenty of run support.
Harrison pitched five shutout innings against Seattle on Tuesday, and prior to that he pitched five shutout against the Pirates as well, allowing just three total hits, and three walks while striking out 18 batters in the process. The Brewers have beaten the Mets twice, covering the run line once, but Milwaukee sits on the top of the NL Central, 5.5 games ahead of the Chicago Cubs. The Mets are in last place of the NL East, a full 17 games out of first place.
One team has much more to play for, so I expect much higher motivation from their dugout. Give me the Brew Crew to get the win.
