The 2023 Home Run Derby takes place tonight and it is always an absolute staple of the star-studded All-Star Game festivities!

The Home Run Derby is a classic, and this year we are in for another great event filled with some big name players!

The event is set to kick off at 8:00PM Eastern time tonight, Monday, July 10th, 2023. Viewers can watch all the action on ESPN.

2023 Home Run Derby Contestants

Here is the bracket for the entire event! We will see single elimination, head to head matchups, with winner advancing to the next round.

The first and second rounds will give batters three minutes to hit as many home runs as possible. In the championship, the players will only have two minutes.

This is one of the most entertaining events of All Star Weekend, but of course, there are betting odds and plenty of bets to be made.

2023 Home Run Derby Best Bets

I think some serious value lies with Mookie Betts.

For starters, if you line shop, which you should always do for every single bet you place, you can find Betts priced at 15-1.

Betts has 25 home runs on the year, and has 4 games with 2 home runs. Two of those four games have actually happened in the past week, with one being last night's game.

Betts can get some serious power behind the ball if he makes good contact, and in a Home Run Derby setting, I think he can surprise some people.

Of course this is a fun event, and it's nice to have a little something to root for while watching.

As always, bet responsibly and never bet more than you can afford to lose. Especially on the home run derby.
