With spring training around the corner, now is the perfect time to start breaking down early MLB futures before the market fully settles. A handful of player and team prices have already caught my attention, offering intriguing upside if things break right. From a superstar looking to reclaim league wide dominance on the basepaths to a young, ascending team ready to take the next step, there is plenty to like at this stage of the calendar. These are not official plays just yet, but early leans worth tracking as health reports, rosters, and prices continue to evolve in the weeks ahead.

With baseball constantly on the brain and pitchers and catchers getting ready to report for spring training, this feels like the right time to start digging into season long player futures.

Lucky Rebel has already posted a strong menu of odds across many players and teams. A few of them jumped off the page right away, but nothing has been locked in yet. I want to see what other books put out and compare prices before committing to anything. As the weeks go by, I will be sharing more of my early futures leans as the market continues to take shape.

Ronald Acuna Jr. Most Stolen Bases (+2500)

We are just three years removed from Ronald Acuna Jr. leading the league in stolen bases, while also taking home his first MVP trophy. The Atlanta superstar stole 73 bags that season, while crushing 41 home runs, batting .337, and posting a 1.012 OPS. Since 2023, Acuna has dealt with injuries, and that year marked his last full season. Since then, he has played in a combined 144 games over the past two years. If the young star can stay healthy and put together another full season, I would not be surprised if he leads the league in stolen bases again.

The reports on his health have been positive. I will continue to monitor them in the coming weeks, but for a player of Acuna's caliber, 25 to 1 is a hell of a price.

White Sox Over 66.5 Wins (-110)

Easily one of my favorite leans for the 2026 MLB season. It is hard to recall a more fun team to watch in the second half of the 2025 season than the Chicago White Sox. Despite finishing with just 60 wins last season, they were nearly .500 after the All Star break, winning 23 of their 47 games. That record was better than the Dodgers, Mets, and Astros over the same stretch.

This is a very young team with talent spread throughout the roster. It is the youngest team in baseball, with an average age of 26.1. The entire group is fighting to make a name for itself, and there is nothing more dangerous than hungry players trying to prove they belong.

Chicago also added quality pieces. Japanese infielder Munetaka Murakami brings serious pop to an already exciting lineup, while Luisangel Acuna strengthens the infield. On the mound, Sean Newcomb was the most notable addition. The left hander posted a 2.73 ERA and 1.35 WHIP across 92.1 innings last season.

This should be a very fun team to watch, and fans may finally have a reason to head to the ballpark beyond craving a Polish dog and grilled onions.
