The Los Angeles Dodgers enter the 2026 season once again carrying massive expectations. An already elite roster somehow found room for more star power, highlighted by the addition of Kyle Tucker to an offense that rarely takes a night off. With depth across the lineup, a bullpen reinforced by Edwin Diaz, and championship experience throughout the clubhouse, Los Angeles is built to contend from April through October. That said, history reminds us that talent alone does not guarantee dominance over a 162 game season. Injuries, fatigue, and natural variance play a major role, even for baseball's most complete teams. The Dodgers are clearly the class of the National League on paper, but how they navigate the grind of the season will determine whether this group reaches its ultimate ceiling when October arrives.
2026 Los Angeles Dodgers Preview
Is a third straight World Series title for the Dodgers inevitable?
They did it again, the Los Angeles Dodgers secured yet another superstar for their already loaded roster. The Monstars are real and they play in Los Angeles. The Dodgers landed four time All Star outfielder Kyle Tucker on a 4 year, $240 million deal. The longtime Astro and former Cub has been a consistent bat everywhere he has played. Across his 8 year career, Tucker owns a .273 batting average, a .358 OBP, and an .865 OPS.
Tucker is far from the only addition the Dodgers have made this offseason. They also brought in closer Edwin Diaz, yes, the trumpet is headed to Los Angeles. The front office added Andy Ibanez and re signed World Series hero Miguel Rojas as well. This current Dodgers era mirrors what people once associated with the New York Yankees. The question now is how it all plays out. Will this be a third straight championship run, or will injuries and normal season turbulence get in the way. Baseball is a long season, and even the most flawless rosters can look very different by August and September.
2026 Dodgers Win Total

- Under: 103.5 (-105)
The Dodgers' 2026 win total is set at 103.5. Last season, their number was 105.5, and even then many believed it was too low. They were labeled "the greatest team ever assembled," yet still finished 13 wins short of going over that mark. I see 2026 playing out in a very similar way.

The 2025 Dodgers carried the same hype. "How does this team not win 105 games?" was the common refrain, and they still ended the season with just 93 wins. Now we're staring at a nearly identical setup, with the total sitting at 103.5 again. Yes, they're clearly built to contend for another title, but winning over 100 games in a 162-game season is extremely difficult.
In the 122-year history of Major League Baseball, a team has won 104 or more games only 42 times, roughly a 34% hit rate. When win totals creep north of 100, I almost always lean under.
As for other futures tied to Dodgers postseason success, I am in no rush to bet a World Series ticket at +220 in the middle of January. If you are eager to back them for a third straight title, patience is your friend. Wait for a down month and you may find a much better price, potentially 3 to 1 or higher. I already took them to win the World Series at -185 before Game 1 last year, so I can wait. I am also never afraid of paying juice when the number is right.
