The Caitlin Clark-less Indiana Fever will host the Los Angeles Sparks tonight at Gainbridge Fieldhouse. These two teams faced off against each other about ten days ago where the Fever won by ten points.

Indiana is 9-8 this season and 3rd in the Eastern Conference. They come into this game off a dominating win over the Aces on Thursday night. The Fever are 6-4 in their last ten games and 5-4 at home this season. The win over the Aces was their second in a row.

Clark is still battling a groin injury and will be sidelined again. The team looked just fine without her last game, winning by 27 points over the Aces. Kelsey Mitchell went off for 25 points, Aliyah Boston posted 20 points and 7 rebounds while Natasha Howard put up a double double.

They'll need to feed off that momentum from Thursday. The Fever came into that game fresh off the Commissioner's Cup win and showed no signs of fatigue. Expect the place to still be packed out for their second home game in a row.

The Sparks have struggled this year, going 5-13 so far and 6th in the Western Conference. They come into this game on a two-game losing streak with their last loss coming against the Liberty on Thursday. LA is 3-7 in their last ten games and 4-6 on the road this season.

This team is interesting because on paper, they don't look terrible. The Sparks rank fourth in pace and fifth in field goal percentage but are eighth in points per game 11th in rebounding. They only rank 8th in offensive ranking as well.

Kelsey Plum isn't playing too bad, averaging 20 points and 6 assists per game. Dearica Hamby and Azura Stevens have been cleaning the boards with 8 rebounds per game each. Unfortunately, the team just doesn't have what it takes to grind out wins.

With what the Fever showed the other night, I have to back them again. The home crowd should be rocking for them again as they go for three wins in a row. Indiana has a rough record, but if they can perform like this without Clark, they could go far.

LA ranks in the bottom of the league in defensive rating. I expect Mitchell and Boston to be extremely active again, which will cause this Sparks defense some problems. If Natasha Howard can also continue to contribute the way she then give me the Fever all day.

I like for Aliyah Boston to get 17 or more points for even money. She's coming off a 20-point performance while be guarded by one of the best in the league. I think Howard's involvement is key in this as it causes the defense to try to cover both and gives Boston a lot of open looks.

The other play I'll be sprinkling is Natasha Howard double double for +350. She's coming off back-to-back ones where she looked awesome. I think she's finally found herself on this team and expect the production to continue.
