The Minnesota Lynx and Connecticut Sun meet again in the playoffs. Both teams have advanced to the 2nd round without any issues. Connecticut came out on top of last year's series and I'm sure Minnesota hasn't forgot.

Connecticut finished 2nd in the East this season with a 28-12 record. They weren't the flashiest team this season but found ways to win. Their defense has been their bright spot this season.

Alyssa Thomas didn't have the same year this year as last. She still averaged 10.6 points, 7.9 assists and 8.4 rebounds per game. The triple double machine wasn't hitting as much as last year as well. Thomas did start and play in all 40 games this year.

DeWanna Bonner led the team in scoring with 15 points per game with Marina Mabrey coming in just about the same, averaging 14.9 points. Mabrey was a pickup from the Sky right before the Olympic break that has been showing to pay off.

Can the Lynx revenge their loss from last season and get to the finals?

The Lynx had a heck of year. Napheesa Collier is the Defensive Player of the Year, Cheryl Reeve is the Coach of the Year, and they finished as the best team in their Conference.

I personally think they ended up with the better path to the finals. This team matchups up well vs the Sun, as they are both defense 1st teams, but it also allows the Aces and Liberty to take one of each other out (lol).

Minnesota went 1-2 vs the Sun this season, so they'll need to be ready. Out of the 3 games, 2 of them were decided by 1 basket, so these games are going to be battles.

I think we're going to see a battle all series. These 2 teams are gritty and are going to go toe to toe. Having the home court advantage is going to help the Lynx, as they went 16-4 at home this season.

To win the game, I think the Lynx pull it out, but it's going to be extremely close. Connecticut should cover the 4 points where we get a push if anything. I don't think we see any sort of blow out in this game.

Since it's game 1, both teams will be hungry to get that 1st win. To that point and both being defensive, I think we see a low scoring game this time with both teams playing safe. The last 2 games vs these 2 went under the 154.5.
