We have a Western Conference matchup to kick off today's WNBA slate. The Minnesota Lynx will head to Texas to take on the Dallas Wings. These two teams just played at the beginning of the month and the Lynx won by 24 points.
Minnesota is 14-4 this season and first in the west. They come into this game off a win over the Washington Mystics on Wednesday. The Lynx are 8-2 in their last ten games and are 8-1 on the road this year.

Rookie guard Olivia Miles has been the talk of the team. She is averaging 18.6 points, 4.9 rebounds and 5.6 assists per game. The kid has been fantastic for this team who is missing their best player, Napheesa Collier. She is still recovering from ankle surgery.
Despite not Collier, they Lynx have been killing it. They rank third in points per game and have the best field goal and three-point field goal percentages in the league. Another thing the Lynx do really well is rebound with Natasha Howard leading the team with 7.8 per game.

Dallas off to a great start; will look to get their lick back vs. Minnesota

Dallas Wings forward Jessica Shepard gets the ball ripped from her from Minnesota Lynx guard Courtney Williams.
The Wings are 11-7 this year and fourth in the west. They come into this game off a loss to the Aces on Thursday night. Dallas is 6-4 in their last ten games and 6-2 at home this season.
It's been a great start for the Wings after last season. Paige Bueckers is really settling into this team nicely. She is averaging 19.6 points, 6.1 assists and 3.8 rebounds per game. Bueckers is becoming the leader of this team in only her second year.
Newly acquired forward Jessica Shepard from the Lynx has been a huge payoff. She is averaging 14.6 points, 11.3 rebounds and 5.5 assists per game. This girl has been printing money for us this season and we may be looking at her again for today.
Crazy to think how much potential this team has based on their current success and still not a deep team. Let's check out the odds and get into the Lynx vs. Wings picks.

As much as I like the Wings this season, they got worked last game vs. the Lynx. I honestly see it happening again with how the Lynx are still playing. The sportsbooks are giving the Wings some respect with only a 4.5 point spread after a blowout last game.
They deserve the respect, but Minnesota is too much for them. Expect Olivia Miles to be everywhere like usual this season. I think Natasha Howard may struggle matched up against Jessica Shepard, so Courtney Williams could be more involved.
I like both Miles and Shepard to hit their PRA numbers. They both have been opposing team's nightmares this season. Shepard fell just short of hers in the last game they played, but Miles cleared without a problem. Take them both separate and even if we get one, it's basically a wash.
