We're back at it after the Commissioner's Cup tournament. Cup winners the New York Liberty will host the Minnesota Lynx at the Barclays Center. This will be the first of three meetings between the two teams this season.
New York is 12-8 so far this season and second in the Eastern Conference. They come into this game off the Commissioner's Cup victory over the Las Vegas Aces on Tuesday. The Liberty are 6-4 in their last ten games and 6-4 at home this year as well.

Prior to their cup win, they are on a two-game losing streak. This team had an eight-game winning streak but have been 1-4 since the streak ended. Some of these losses were games that were very winnable and lost by a small margin.
Forward Breanna Stewart is leading the way. She is averaging a team high 19.2 points and 8.5 rebounds per game this year. With not having Sabrina Ionescu and Satou Sabally for the whole season so far, Stewie has stepped up and is playing well.

Minnesota leads the league without their star player

Lynx players Kayla McBride, Natasha Howard, and Courtney Williams head to the bench after a timeout call.
The Lynx are 15-4 this year and the best team in the Western Conference and the league. They come into this game on a two-game winning streak after a win over the Wings on Sunday. Minnesota is 8-2 in their last ten games and 9-1 on the road this season.
This team has been fantastic and it's crazy to believe it's been without Napheesa Collier. Last year's almost league MVP has been out with an ankle injury all season. Despite not having her, the Lynx have played their hearts out and they have another weapon.
Rookie guard Olivia Miles is insane. Only halfway into the season, she is most likely the league Rookie of the Year to be. She is averaging a team high 18.7 points, 5.7 assists and 4.8 rebounds per game. This kid is the real deal with a very bright future in this league. Her and Collier are going to be so dangerous.
This should be a battle with the best team vs. a team with high momentum from a big win. Let's check out the odds and get into the Lynx vs. Liberty picks.

I know it seems crazy to take the Liberty and a homer pick, but I got to do it. This team looked great the other night with the money on the line and they're going to carry that momentum. They will need to play their best basketball and in front of the home crowd again.
New York will need to get the Lynx to play their game. They rank in the bottom of the league for pace and will try to slow Minnesota down. Both teams shoot the ball very well, especially the Liberty from three, so I think the game goes over as well.
Give me Olivia Miles to have another big game. I like her 19 or more points for -130. She has cleared 20 plus points in each of her last three games. I also like her PRA which has been on rinse and repeat. She has cleared the 30 or more PRA for -120 as she has hit in nine of her last eleven games.
