We're going to end the night in San Francisco. The New York Liberty are in town to take on the Golden State Valkyries. These two teams last played each other a little over a month ago and the Valkyries won the game by 17 points.
New York is 12-7 this season and are tied for first in the Eastern Conference. They come into this game of a bad loss to the Storm on Thursday night. The Liberty are 7-3 in their last ten games and 6-3 on the road this year.

Ever since winning eight straight, the Liberty have gone 1-3 in their last four games since. They lost very winnable games too vs. the Mystics, Sparks and Storm. These games would have game them a nice lead over the Dream for first place.
Despite the recent losses, the Liberty still rank toward the top of the league for things like points per game, field goal percentage and three-point percentage. New York also ranks fourth in offensive rating as well as fourth for defensive rating.

Golden State tries to make it three in a row in front of the home crowd

Valkyries guard Gabby Williams takes the ball up court after an inbound pass.
The Valkyries are 12-7 this year and third in the Western Conference. They come into this game on a two-game winning streak after beating the Dream on Friday. Golden State is 6-4 in their last ten games and 9-3 at home this season.
Their last game was a big win for them over a tough Atlanta team. Golden State has really emerged as a serious contender for this year. They brought in guard Gabby Williams in the offseason who is leading this team. She is averaging 16.3 points and 3.8 rebounds per game.
On paper, they don't look so good. They rank in the bottom of the league for points per game, pace and field goal percentage. Despite what looks like a lack of offense, they play smart basketball by not turning the ball over a lot. Their defensive rating is second best in the league.
We should get a great Sunday night showdown. Who do you think takes this one in Cali? Let's check out the odds and get into the Liberty vs. Valkyries picks.

This feels like a homer pick, but the Liberty seem to play better against better teams. They just dropped those three games vs. lower tier teams, but have beaten the Fever, Dream and Aces. I think we see a hungry New York team tonight to get this win.
Not only do they need this win, but this is a good get back spot for the Liberty. After losing to the Valkyries by 17 points, this is a perfect time for them to get their lick back. New York is a deep team and will need everyone to contribute tonight.
I really like Gabby Williams to record 3 or more three pointers for +195. The volume is there every game, and she is the leader of this team. She is coming off a miss, which I like, because she seems to hit every other game. From watching her this season, we have a chance for a first quarter cash.
