Two of the top teams in the league will face off against each other tonight. The New York Liberty head to the desert to take on the Las Vegas Aces. This will be the first time these two face each other this season. Really makes things interesting as it's a warmup for next week's cup game.

Las Vegas is 12-4 this season and second in the Western Conference. They come into this game on a two-game winning streak after a win Sunday over the Valkyries. The Aces are 8-2 in their last ten games and 4-2 at home this year.

Reigning MVP A'ja Wilson is having a great season so far. She's averaging 25.7 points and 9.1 rebounds per game. Wilson dropped a 40 piece earlier in the season and three 30 pieces as well. She has put-up double-digit point totals in every game this season with the least amount being 18.

The other cast of characters have been heating up as well. Guards Jackie Young and Chelsea Gray have been contributing with both averaging 7 assists per game. Offseason pick up Chennedy Carter has been a heck of a pickup as she's averaging 14.4 points per game off the bench.

New York looks to break two-game skid on the road tonight

The Liberty are 11-6 this year and second in the Eastern Conference. They come into this game on a two-game losing streak after a one-point loss to the Sparks on Sunday. New York is 8-2 in their last ten games and 5-2 on the road this season.

They went on an 8-game winning streak before dropping the last two games. They were very much in both games, losing by only 1 point and 3 points in the two games. This game will be a big test for them, but luckily, they play comfortable on the road.

Breanna Stewart leads the team so far 19.4 points and 9 rebounds per game. Jonquel Jones has been playing well, and new addition Satou Sabally is finally playing again. Sabrina Ionescu has been fighting injury, but the Liberty are still finding ways to win.

Both teams are having good seasons, but the Liberty has gone cold since their win streak. I like Las Vegas in this spot at home. New York is a good road team, but Vegas could be hitting their stride as they go for three in a row.

These two teams both matchup well on paper and it should be a close game. The spread is so close that I don't want to touch it. I do think they game goes over and we see one team put up over 90 points. Both teams put up over 90 in their last games.

I like Breanna Stewart to get her rebounds. She has been dominant down low and has plenty of experience with Wilson. A'ja hasn't been grabbing 15 a game like she has in prior years and I think Stewart has a great chance to clear her line.
