The WNBA Finals kick off tonight and we're so here for it. Back for the 2nd straight year are the New York Liberty and they will take on the Minnesota Lynx. During the season, they played 3 games, and the Lynx won 2 of them.

New York just knocked off the Las Vegas Aces in 4 games. It was huge for them to be able to get passed the Aces after last year's loss in the finals. Now, the Liberty have their chance to win it all.

Breanna Stewart is a 2-time WNBA Champ and will be looking for her third. But for Sabrina Ionescu and the New York franchise, this would be their 1st title. It is rather surprising that the Liberty have never won a chip, but if they have any chance – it's this year.

Both of them teams play really good defense. The Lynx are just coming off a very similar series vs the Sun. Offensively, the Liberty have the edge in points per game, rebounds per game and pace.

Minnesota will look to get their 1st championship since 2017

Minnesota is just excited to be here. At the beginning of season, I don't think many people expected to see them in the finals. They have the coach of the year and defensive player of the year on their squad, so good company.

Napheesa Collier has been the center of this team all season. She is the DPOY and a big reason this team has one of the best defenses in the league. Collier has record 20+ points and 10+ rebounds in her last 3 games, so she's firing right now.

Kayla McBride and Courtney Williams have been playing great basketball to support Collier. Both ladies have been putting up points while Willams has been dishing the rock. They will need to continue this to have a chance against the Liberty.
