What a start it has been to the WNBA season and we're only two days in! Tonight, we have two young superstars facing off. The Atlanta Dream will take on the Dallas Wings at the College Park Center.
Atlanta is 1-0 to start the season and looked good in the first start. They won their first game against the Minnesota Lynx. New addition Angel Reese had the game ending block to seal the game for the Dream.
It is extremely important to note from last game – there was no Napheesa Collier. Something tells me if she was playing, the Dream would've got waxed because they barely pulled it off and Collier is a 20+ ppg player.
Angel Reese recorded her first double double of the season becoming the youngest player to ever reach 50 double doubles. She had 11 points and 14 rebounds on the night. They had strong showings from veterans Rhyne Howard and Allisha Gray. Howard finished with 15 points, 6 rebounds, and 5 assists while Gray had 28 points, 8 rebounds, and 3 assists.
Role players Jordin Canada had 12 points and 6 assists and Naz Hillmon put up 15 points and 7 rebounds. Again, solid performance, but we have to take into account no Collier. They should be ready to play a fully staffed Dallas team tonight.

Dallas will look to carry momentum from first win to tonight

Wings guard Paige Bueckers points at her teammate after getting a bucket.
Dallas is 1-0 to start after beating the Fever 107-104. It was a big statement win for them against Caitlin Clark and gang. Both teams looked really good though, I have to say and are going to be a problem this year.
Big games all around with three players scoring 20+ points. Guard Paige Bueckers was one of them and had 3 rebounds and 4 assists. Odyssey Sims didn't waste time getting comfortable with Dallas, putting up 20 points and Arike Ogunbowale let the way with 22 points.
The shooting percentage on this team was fantastic. Sims and Bueckers alone shot a combined average of 77% from the field. Ogunbowale shot the most, but only 50% from the field, so she could go crazy with improvement.
Forward Jessica Shepard messed around and almost had a triple double with 13 points, 9 rebounds and 9 assists. I really think this young squad could cook this season and attract some serious talent next year.

You got to give me the Wings in this one. The Dream barely pulled off that win last game against and not even fully stacked team. Dallas was able to beat a fully staffed Indiana team in their arena and looked really good.
The Wings put up more the most points so far, they have the fastest pace and, most importantly, have the best field goal percentage. I know I'm a huge Paige Bueckers stan, but you can't deny how good of a shooter she in (and that's why she's better than Caitlin Clark!).
Atlanta is definitely going to be carrying some swagger with them from last game. This game is looking like an over to me as well given the way both teams just played. Now for props…
Give me my girl Angel Reese to get 13 or more rebounds. She's coming off a game where she had 14 and I think she'll do it again. A little bit of a height advantage for Reese down low as well as physicality. I also like Rhyne Howard to hit 3 or more three pointers. She just did it, but biggest thing with her is the volume is there every game.
