Last year's draft class had a huge impact on last season right away. I think this year's class has plenty of ladies who can do the same. We have two new teams this year and they both had top ten picks which we love to see.
This year's class all went to teams that they can make an impact on right away. Lots of contenders in the top ten of this draft. Minnesota had the second pick that they got from Chicago; Golden State had the eighth pick and Indiana had the tenth pick.

Newest Dallas Wing Azzi Fudd is selected number one is the 2026 WNBA Draft.
Dallas had the first pick again this season and they took Azzi Fudd out of UConn. She is coming off a national championship win and a former teammate of not again teammate Paige Bueckers. Bueckers is coming off a Rookie of the Year season and these two are going to be trouble.
The Wings were the last team in the league last year, but they know they're in a rebuild. Arike Ogunbowale signed a big deal to stay with the team. This addition of Fudd is going to give them a dangerous back court and down low, they added Alanna Smith from the Lynx.

Minnesota Lynx select Olivia Miles with the second pick in the 2026 WNBA Draft.
Minnesota really killed it getting Olivia Miles from TCU. Miles is an animal on the court and going to immediately add to this Lynx team that's already a contender. This team is only one year removed from a finals appearance and really only fell short last year due to Napheesa Collier's back injury.
It's crazy that the Lynx had this pick but it's going to pay off. Miles averaged 19.6 points, 7.2 rebounds and 6.6 assist per game last season. She brings a huge offensive threat to a team that's already stacked.

Indiana Fever select Raven Johnson with the tenth pick in the 2026 WNBA Draft.
Indiana went ahead and drafted Raven Johnson out of South Carolina with the tenth pick. She is definitely a wild card pick that high with her numbers from last year. She only averaged 10 points, 4 rebounds and 5 assists per game, but I think is going to fit in nicely.
The Fever have arguably the best player in the league in Caitlin Clark. If she is healthy this year, she can light it up and also make the teammates around her better. Sophie Cunningham is back as well as Kelsey Mitchell. If Johnson can perform early, she could earn some playing time.
