Washington Mystics vs Las Vegas Aces Prediction, Odds & Best Bets: cover

The queens of home court play, the Las Vegas Aces (30-6) will host the Washington Mystics (17-18) tonight at the Michelob ULTRA Arena. Vegas is 16-1 at home this season so far.

The Aces are on the toughest 10 game stretch they’ve had so far this year. They’re 6-4 in their last 10 games and 2-3 in their last 5 games. One of those losses came at the hands of the Mystics.

Washington has been fighting the injury bug the last few weeks and it caused them to dip in the standings. They have been fully rostered the past 2 games and winning both. Whoever runs their X account is awfully proud of this moment…

Elena Delle Donna, Ariel Atkins and Shakira Austin have all be reactivated to the roster. These 3 ladies are the core of the team as they all average double digits points for far this year.

The Mystics took down the Aces Saturday night at home 78-62, holding the Aces to their 2nd lowest point total of the season. Which, honestly, is pretty damn impressive.

Delle Donna led the way with 21 points and 7 rebounds. Atkins had 16 points and Austin contributed 7 rebounds. Rebounding became the Mystics weakest area when these 3 ladies were out, so look for them to recover.

Washington is currently 3rd in the Eastern Conference with Atlanta right behind them. The Mystics have 1 game in hand than the Dream do. Both teams are currently in the playoffs with 5 and 4 games left in the season.

Since there are only 12 teams in the league, the seeding is across the league and not by Conference. Washington is in a close race for the 5th seed with Atlanta and Minnesota tied for 6h and 7th seed. Only 1 game is separating the 5th, 6th and 7th seeds.

Now the real question is, do the Mystics have what it takes to shut down the #1 seed Aces tonight? Can they repeat their performance from this past weekend? Let’s find out.

Washington Mystics vs Las Vegas Aces Prediction and Picks

Pick: Washington Mystics +10 (-110)

This should be a good game and it’s a big one for the Mystics. If they can pull off another win vs the Aces, they’re putting the league on notice.

Washington is going to need everyone to show out. Delle Donne will need to set the tone early and put up some points. Her and Austin pose a good threat to the Aces in the paint and for rebound opportunities.

Containing A’ja Wilson will be the biggest and hardest task for the Mystics. Even though they kept Wilson under 20 points, she still had a double-double. Shutting down Chelsea Gray and Jackie Young will also be needed.

Winning in the champs house isn’t going to be easy and only 1 other team has done it their year. I’m really not sure if they can pull off the W, but they most definitely can contend.

I really like this line at 10 points. This really gives us a nice chance to cover the line with the Mystics back at full strength. We’re taking the points here and the rest is history!

Player Prop: Elena Delle Donne O16.5 Points (-102)

Elena is the heart and soul of this Mystics team. Her absence was felt very heavy while she was out, and her presence is not being felt coming back. A’ja Wilson will have her hands full again with Delle Donne

She put up 21 points vs the Aces a few days ago and I think she’s good for another 20 piece. This Mystics team know they lost a lot of time but have managed to stay around. Expect them to show out as much as possible these last 5 games of the season.

These last few games are perfect for her to get back in her groove for the playoffs. I expect her to be all over the floor again tonight and clear this line for us no problem.
