We're going to the top of the Eastern Conference for a battle between the top 2 teams. The New York Liberty (25-7) take on the Connecticut Sun (23-10) in what should be a good show down.

New York comes into this game playing well as they have all year. They just got a bounce back win vs the Mercury after a tough loss to the Aces after their Commissioners Cup victory.

If you count the Cup win, the Liberty were on a 7-game winning streak before the loss to the Aces. They stand 8-2 in their last 10 games played and have a road record of 13-3.

The Liberty Big 4 have been doing their jobs this year. Sabrina Ionescu, Brenna Stewart, Courtney Vandersloot and Jonquel Jones have all been having great seasons. Their win against the Aces for the Cup showed they are here to stay.

Connecticut is also having themselves a good season. DeWanna Bonner and Alyssa Thomas have been leading the team with Brionna Jones out for the season.

Bonner leads the team in scoring with 17.8 points per game and Alyssa Thomas is a Triple Double machine with 5 on the year. She is averaging 15.7 points, 10 rebounds, and 7.9 assists per game. She's having herself a year.

This line is falling in a good spot. As I said earlier, this game will be different than the previous this year, but I think we see the same outcome.

The Liberty have been great ball all around and all year. They may be 1 seed apart in the standings, but the Liberty are the better team.

Look for Breanna Stewart to have a big game like she has in both games this year. She had 20+ points and 6+ rebounds in each game. Jonquel Jones should be there to help crash the boards vs her former team.

If the Liberty can contain Bonner and Thomas, or at least 1 of them. They held Bonner under 15 points in the last 2 games and got the win in the last game despite Thomas getting a triple double.

They should be able to win this game and cover the spread without a problem if they contain Bonner and play their game.

Player Prop: Betnijah Laney O11.5 Points (-120)

Laney has hit this line is her last 3 games straight and also cleared the line in her last 5 out of 6 games. She's had 22, 17, and 12 points in those last 3 games.

She has been a silent weapon for the team. With all the attention around the Big 4, Laney finds her ways to contribute.

She is averaging 11.9 points, 2.4 assists and 3.3 rebounds per game this year while shotting 50% from the field She has become a key part of this team starting every game so far.

I expect the Liberty to move the ball around a lot. I think they try and go out for an early lead, which is where we'll want to see Laney grab some points early. She should find the basket and clear this line for us.
