The United States is the last host country to play their Round of 32 matchup in the 2026 FIFA World Cup. Canada took down South Africa with a stoppage time winner, and Mexico shutout Ecuador en route to the Round of 16. Now the United States looks to join the other two hosts for that stretch of matches. But it won't come easy as they face Bosnia & Herzegovina tonight in Santa Clara. Let's dive into our favorite picks in this match.

Can Bosnia find a way to upset the United States in the Round of 32?
Can we talk about how unfair it is that the United States has to face both Bosnia & Herzegovina in the Round of 32? Seems a little lopsided to me… ba dum tss.. Bad jokes aside, I do think this is going to be a tougher matchup for the Americans than the odds suggest. Bosnia played very well against Canada, and looked sharp against Switzerland before things blew up after the 70′ minute. Then they beat Qatar to move on.
Now, based on the current world rankings, this will be Bosnia's toughest opponent in this tournament so far, while the United States arguably have their easiest match. But in the knockout rounds, nothing is guaranteed.
I actually have a ticket for Bosnia to advance at +170, which is a terrible number considering they are around 4-1 to do so currently. I'm counting that future as a loser, and will be looking for ways to make it up in this match.

Will Balogun find the back of the net again for the United States as they face Bosnia tonight?

Paying a little juice for push potential never hurt anyone, and that's what we are rolling with tonight. I think Bosnia straight up parks the bus today. They were on their heels for the entire match against Canada, eventually giving up a late equalizer after scoring early. Against the Swiss, they held strong for 70ish minutes before allowing a goal. Then they got a red card and let in three more.
I see the United States having trouble scoring today, but even if they find one early, Bosnia has the ability to press and force us into defending for most of the match. Personally I just don't see either team netting multiple goals. This match has 1-1 draw or a 1-0 United States victory in 90 minutes written all over it, and I'll be betting it as such.
But don't get it twisted. Despite my ticket for the United States to be eliminated, my bet on the under, and my general feeling that the American attack struggles in this match, I will be cheering my heart out for the Stars and Stripes.
