I have been so impressed with this San Jose Earthquakes team so far this season. Now they are going on the road for the first time which could cause some trouble, but they've exceeded expectations already. We knew their offense wasn't an issue at all. They score plenty, netting five goals in their first two matches of the MLS season. But their defense has been outstanding. Not only have they earned two shutouts this year, but they've only allowed two total shots on target, 15 overall and have conceded just seven corner kicks.

On the flip side, Philadelphia has not played like the team that won the Supporters' Shield last year. The Union are 0-2 on the season, losing to DC United on the road and then to New York City FC in their home opener last weekend. Sure, they are probably due for some progress, but I think the Earthquakes will be too much to handle. San Jose is more than capable of going into Philly and earning a point, and for plus money, I am definitely willing to back them to do just that. If you want, a sprinkle on the moneyline at +310 or their team total over 1.5 at +190 are both worth looking at.

Now I mentioned on my show earlier, The Morning Spread, that I endorse the Galaxy on the moneyline. The +173 price tag is very enticing, but I'll take plus money with some push potential on the pick 'em line. Los Angeles is simply the more talented team in this spot, and they've been performing well so far. Now, like San Jose, this is their first road contest of the MLS season, but after drawing with New York City FC and beating Charlotte 3-0 last weekend, I have plenty of faith in this club.

The Rapids were shutout by the Seattle Sounders in their opening match on the road, but won in front of their home crowd against the Portland Timbers last weekend. Now they have another West Coast club coming to town, and I believe they will be too much to handle. The Galaxy put 12 of their 14 shots on frame against Charlotte last weekend and controlled over 63% of possession. The only reason they drew with NYCFC was because of a 64′ minute red card that led to a penalty kick. This team has yet to concede a goal from the field, and I don't think it starts today against a weaker Colorado team.

Prediction: LA Galaxy Win 2-0 (+1800)

Now, it might go against our same game parlay, but I also like the hosts to win by two, which you can find for about the same price. I see this being a ugly showing from the visitors. LAFC is the second betting favorite to win the MLS Cup, and for good reason. They are stacked. This club has two shutout victories already this year, and I see them earning another one tonight.

Their backline held Inter Miami to just three shots on frame in their opener, and FC Dallas were shutout by Nashville last weekend, another very good defense. FC Dallas won't be able to compete, and LAFC should be able to earn three easy points at home.

Prediction: LAFC Wins 3-0 (+825)
