There is clear hierarchy in Group B, as the Swiss are No. 19 and Qatar is No. 56, however they are still picked to finish last in the group. If you are Canada, much like Mexico had to do, you need to set the tone. Host nation, first match of the tournament, in front of the entire country (world), you cannot flop. Sure we have an extended field, but you cannot let points slip away during the group stage. Especially not to Bosnia.
They are headlined by Edin Dzeko, as the 40 year old had six goals in nine World Cup qualifying matches. But he will need plenty of help from his teammates in order to get out of this quad. It all starts Friday afternoon in Toronto, where Bosnia will be behind enemy lines.

I do think Canada wins this game, but I'm not willing to press their moneyline for anything without a plus sign, which is long gone at this point. Bosnia & Herzegovina is not a team that will wow you with offense, as only two players scored multiple goals throughout their qualifiers. Plus, they needed a man advantage to beat Italy in the playoff tournament finals to even make the World Cup.
Canada is not going to have Alphonso Davies start this match, but Alistair Johnston can help keep them sound in the back. Tajon Buchanan had seven goals and assist off the bench for Villarreal this year in La Liga, Stephen Eustáquito has contributed for LAFC so far this MLS year, and we know how good Jonathan David can be.
I'll take Canada to get behind their home crowd and net a couple for a plus sign, but paying the juice on Both Teams to Score No at (-130) is also a favorite pick of mine. Like I said, Bosnia's offense does not scare me, and even without Davies, Canada plays very defensive focused. Either Canada wins this thing 2-0 (+675) or 3-0 (+1200), or we see a scoreless draw (+750). For the price, Canada team total is what we are rolling with.
