Now, this match had the potential to be Portugal vs. Argentina early on in the tournament, but Portugal did not win their group. Then it was going to be Argentina vs. Colombia. Switzerland was quietly a very dominant team in the group stage matches. After a horrifying draw against Qatar, they bounced back for wins over Bosnia and Canada to secure the top spot in the group. Then they took down Algeria in the Round of 32, and upset Colombia in the Round of 16 in a penalty kick shootout. Do they have another miracle in them?
Argentina made light work of their group, beating Jordan, Algeria and Austria. Next they took down Cape Verde in an extra time thriller, and survived Egypt with an incredible comeback as well. Is this team just squeaking by? Or are they good enough to always end up on top in these tight games? We will find out tonight, as the Swiss should make this one as low scoring as possible.

Will Messi find another goal to add to his Golden Boot total tonight against Switzerland?
Best Bet: Argentina ML/Under 3.5 (+117) Lucky Rebel Sportsbook
Switzerland went into their match against Colombia with a game plan and it worked. They successfully kept things scoreless through 120 minutes, and eventually won in a shootout. I would imagine they come into this match with the exact same plan. However, I don't think they will be successful.
No one has held Messi and company scoreless in this tournament, and I don't expect that to start now. I would be comfortable playing this same game parlay at 2.5 goals for +225 if you'd like, because I don't see it getting out of hand. The Swiss won't score, because they will be too busy defending the entire match. There won't be any time for them to create chances. Therefore, in my mind we are betting on Argentina netting one or two in 90 minutes.
While Colombia was unsuccessful in breaking through the Swiss backline, this Argentinian attack is much better, and we saw what they are capable of last match. This team can flip a switch and turn things on in an instant. Maybe it takes them most of the match to do so, but I think Messi and company can win this low scoring contest in 90 minutes, even if the first goal doesn't come until the fourth quarter… I said what I said…
