It's been a pretty good start to the men's ice hockey in this year's Winter Olympics. Today, we have Team France taking on Team Canada in both teams third game. Canada is playing to get the by in the next round and France is hoping to not be the last seed.
Team Canada has won both of its first two games vs. Czechia and then Switzerland. They put up five goals in each game and only allowed one. With a win here, they'll secure they bye for next round and things are looking good so far.
So far on offense, all the stars are shining. Sidney Crosby, Nathan MacKinnon and Connor McDavid are out there recking havoc on players and racking up points. First time Olympian Mackin Celebrini wasted no time getting involved with a goal in his first ever game.
Based on what I said before about only one goal allowed, I'd say the defense has been pretty good. Both goalies Jordan Binnington and Logan Thompson looked fantastic in their first outings. We'll see who gets the nod for today's game as the time gets closer.

France will try to put together everything they have today vs. Canada

France forward Pierre Bellemare brings the puck up the boards and into the offensive zone.
Team France has yet to get a win this Olympics and now have their backs against the wall to not be last seed in the knockout round. This country is not known for producing many famous hockey players and this team is all natives.
They showed signs of life vs. Czechia last game, scoring three goals to take a 3-2 lead in the second. But it wasn't enough as Czechia scored two more to end the second and two more in the third period. France didn't score at all vs. the Swiss in their first game.
Alexandre Texier is the only player on the team from the NHL and has yet to get on the board. It's honestly going to take a miracle for the French to win this game. Let's check out the odds and get into the France vs. Canada picks.

We're going to take the same approach here as we did yesterday with the USA game. There is no value on the moneyline and having to take a puck line of 5 goals or more is a stretch. So, we're going to root for goals all around in case France finds a way to score a few.
The values there and we know the fire power is there as well. Canada could pull a Finland and put up over ten goals by themselves. France has nothing to stop this team of legends, so it's very possible Canada just has their way with them.
I like for Sidney Crosby to record 2 or more points as well as Connor McDavid to do the same. These two guys have been so involved in the two wins and McDavid leads the team with six points. It's hard not to rack up points when you're feeding guys like Macklin Celebrini and Nathan MacKinnon too.
