Puck It Tuesday! NHL Best Bets and Props 10/27/2026

It's a loaded Tuesday on the NHL calendar with eleven games on the slate, and nights like this are where the value hides in plain sight. Back-to-back situations, personal vendettas, and a handful of players who are overdue to remind everyone exactly who they are make this one of the better prop-hunting nights of the early season. We're going three deep tonight — an assist prop on one of the league's premier playmakers in a dream spot, a shots prop on a guy with a serious chip on his shoulder, and another shots prop on a sniper who keeps getting robbed and is due for a big night. Let's get into it.
We are offically in the green both in units gained and our season record. The pressure is on, as we sit at 10-9 with our NHL best bets. We need to keep the bankroll building tonight and build on the momentum we've gained after a bumpy start.

We will be breaking down NHL best bets here at Betting News all season long! Each article will look for VALUE, as in straights you can take to build up your bankroll or pieces you can use to beef up your parlays. All bets will be -135 or better odds. And while we will focus on NHL player props, there are times we will take sides and totals. So keep your eyes peeled here as we will drop these throughout the week.

1. Matthew Tkachuk Assist: -120 on Lucky Rebel

Winnipeg's hot start has been one of the better stories of the early season, but that goaltending is starting to show cracks — and when you're playing host to Florida, cracks get exposed in a hurry. The Panthers are a 53.9% road favorite tonight, which means the market expects them to win this game, and when Florida wins, Matthew Tkachuk is almost always somewhere in the middle of it. That's just how this team works and why this is an NHL best bet.
Tkachuk is the connective tissue of Florida's offense — the guy who battles along the walls, draws penalties, and puts pucks on sticks in dangerous areas. He doesn't always need to score to make an impact, and he doesn't need to here. He just needs to be involved in a Florida goal, and against a Winnipeg goaltending situation that has been leaking over the last week or so, Florida should generate more than enough offense to give him multiple chances to pick up a helper.
Tkachuk now has an assist in all half of the Panthers games this seaosn. But that is after he only had one assist in the first five games. He generated 11 assists over the next five games just like the stud he is. The assists come naturally to a player whose entire game is built around creating for others. He also has an assist in 63% of the last 8 games against Winnipeg.
At -120, this is a price you're happy to pay on a player who has been one of the most consistent assist producers in the NHL over the past three seasons running. Winnipeg's cracks in net are Florida's opportunity, and Tkachuk is the one who cashes in on it.

2. Clayton Keller o2.5: +110 on Lucky Rebel

On paper this bet looks terrible. I don't blame you for questioning this NHL best bet. But behind the scenes this is a highly motivated player against a team he loathes. Clayton Keller is playing with a chip on his shoulder tonight that money can't manufacture. Minnesota's front office left him off the Four Nations roster, a snub that sent a message Keller has not forgotten and has not been quiet about. Every time Utah faces the Wild this season, that slight is sitting somewhere in the back of his mind, and that kind of personal motivation has a real and documented impact on how players perform and that's exactly why this is an NHL best bet tonight.
The head-to-head numbers support the play on their own merits. Keller has historically been productive against Minnesota and particularly dangerous in terms of shot generation — he's the type of player who attacks downhill and gets to his spots, and against a Wild team he wants to prove something to, you can expect him to be shooting first and asking questions later. He averages close to 6 shot attempts a game when playing the Wild, where his average this season is 4.5 shot attempts per game. And while he has only hit in 4 games this season, vs the Wild he has hit in 3 of the last 4 games since the snub.
The +110 price here is outstanding. Getting plus money on a player to exceed 2.5 shots in a game where he's personally motivated and historically productive against this specific opponent is the kind of line that won't stay there long once sharper eyes find it.

3. Andrei Svechnkikov o2.5 SOG: -110 on Lucky Rebel

Svechnikov has been snakebitten lately — not for lack of trying, but for lack of pucks going in the net when they probably should. He's come close twice in recent outings, generating the volume and the quality looks without the results, and that kind of near-miss stretch has a way of ending with a loud bang. Tonight's matchup is the perfect spot for the release. And that is exactly why this is an NHL best bet tonight.
Carolina is a 62.7% home favorite against a Boston team grinding through the second half of a back-to-back, and Svechnikov's numbers at home versus on the road are meaningfully better — he's more aggressive, more confident, and more willing to pull the trigger in his own building in front of the Carolina crowd. Svechnikov has hit in all but one home game this season, where he averages 7 shot attempts a game. The road is a different story, but that's why we are jumping on this line.
This NHL best bet gets even better when you factor in the opponent. Svechnikov HATES Boston. He has hit his SOG prop in 6 straight games against them and has hit in 7 of the last 9 games he has faced off against the Bruins. The quality of his shot generation has been there even during the cold stretch; the volume has been there too. At -110, you're paying a fair price on a player who has been this close, is playing at home, is historically productive against tonight's opponent, and is staring down a back-to-back-weakened team that will struggle to contain him in the third period. The breakout is coming. Bet it's tonight.
