We're going to Sin City late tonight for this divisional matchup. The San Jose Sharks will make the short trip over to take on the Vegas Golden Knights. These two teams met last month, and the Knights won 4-3.
Vegas is 16-8-10 this year and are second in the Pacific Division. They come into this game on a three-game losing streak after a loss to the Oilers on Sunday. The Knights are 6-2-2 in their last ten games, 7-4-5 at home and 4-2-4 in divisional games.
The team has been without forward Jack Eichel and it's not clear yet if he'll play. Him missing is showing their performance after dropping three games on their Canadian road trip. Despite his injury, Vegas still has one of the best offenses in the league.
Defensively, they are totally sound. Ranking eleventh in goals allowed and third in shots on goal allowed is solid. Their penalty kill is fifteenth in the league, but they commit less than four penalties per game. Goalie Carter Hart is expected to start with Adin Hill still out with a lower body injury.

San Jose looks to bounce back after bad loss on Saturday

Sharks forwards Will Smith and Alex Wennberg embrace their teammates after they scored a goal.
The Sharks are 17-16-3 this season and are fifth in the Pacific Division. They come into this game on a two-game losing streak after a loss to the Kraken on Saturday. San Jose is 5-5-0 in their last ten games, 7-9-0 on the road and 4-5-2 in divisional games.
This young group of guys are starting to come alive. Former number one pick Macklin Celebrini is showing why he was the number one pick. He has 18 goals and 36 assists so far and is third in the league for points. They still struggle, ranking last in shots on goal per game, but are fourth in shooting percentage.
Their defense is terrible though. San Jose ranks in the bottom of the league for goals scored and are last in shots on goal allowed per game. They commit about four penalties per game and only kill of about 78% of their penalties,
In net, we're expected to see Yaroslav Askarov. He is 12-9-1 this year with a 3.22 GAA and a .902 save percentage. Let's check out the odds and get into the Sharks vs. Knights picks.

I think we see a close game here. Both teams are in need of a win badly, so they can kill their losing streaks. In the end, I do think the Knights come out as the winners, but the Sharks could give them trouble.
The combined GAA's of the two goalies isn't even six. Hart has been playing decent since his return and Askarov has been the same. Vegas is missing their biggest weapon which should take down the offense right off the bat. Their defense will definitely clamp the Sharks down.
I love Macklin Celebrini all around. Give me his 3 or more shots on goal for -165 and sprinkle the 4 or more for +140. He has four shots in their last game and kid is the core of this offense. I also will be sprinkling his 2 or more points for +145.
The Sharks allow so many shots that we'll be going with Askarov to get over his saves line. The Knights put up about 30 shots per game while the Sharks allow over that. The line should drop around 28 saves, and I think he sees at least 30 shots.
