The top and bottom of the Pacific Division faceoff tonight. The Seattle Kraken make their way down the coast to take on the Anaheim Ducks. These two teams last met to start the season and the Kraken won that game 3-1.
Anaheim is 21-13-2 this season and are first in the Pacific Division. They come into this game off a win over the Blue Jackets on Saturday. The Ducks are 5-4-1 in their last ten games, 12-5-0 at home and 4-2-0 in divisional games.
This young squad has come alive and is clicking. On offense, they rank third in both goals scored and shots on goal per game. Anaheim has a decent shooting percentage for all those shots too, ranking eleventh.
Their defense is terrible though. They rank in the bottom of the league for goals allowed and shots on goal allowed per game. The complete opposite of their offense. The Ducks special teams aren't the best either – ranking in the bottom for both power play and penalty kill.
Goalie Lukas Dostal is expected to get the start tonight. He is 13-7-1 this year with a 2.91 GAA and a .899 save percentage. Dostal will be looking to avenge his loss from earlier this season.

Rough start for Seattle as they look to turn it around after a win

Seattle Kraken players celebrate together after scoring a goal in front of the home crowd.
The Kraken are 13-14-6 to start the year and are last in the Pacific Division. They come into this game off a win over the Sharks on Saturday. Seattle is 2-8-0 in their last ten games, 6-7-3 on the road and 6-4-0 in divisional games this year.
Offense is just completely missing on this team. They rank in the bottom of the league for goals scored and shots on goal per game. Shooting on the net is questionable with their shooting percentage and they could be worse on the power play.
A little on defense than on offense, but not by much. The Kraken rank sixteenth for goals allowed and twenty third in shots on goal allowed. They do not play the smartest hockey, committing about four penalties and they have the worst penalty kill in the league.
In net, we're expected to see Joey Daccord. He is 9-9-4 this season with a 2.85 GAA and a .899 save percentage. Let's check out the odds and get into the Kraken vs. Ducks picks.

I do think the Ducks have their way here, but there is no value on the moneyline. Since they dropped the first game months ago when the season just started, they should take this one with how much they've grown.
The lack of defense should be what takes us home here. There should be plenty of goals and I think the Ducks get at least four by themselves. Anaheim' defense being so poor really gives the Kraken a chance to put a few in too.
I like for Daccord to get over his saves line. It will probably come out around 28 saves and he's going to see well over 30 shots. He also is coming off two performances where he saved 35 and 42 shots.
