We have a matchup tonight between two teams in the Pacific Division. The Vegas Golden Knights will take on the Los Angeles Kings at Crypto.com Arena. These two teams played much earlier in the season, and it was a barn burner with the Kings winning 6-5.
Vegas is 21-11-12 this season and first in the Pacific Division. They come into this game on a four-game winning streak after a win over the Sharks on Sunday. The Knights are 5-3-2 in their last ten games, 11-5-6 on the road and 6-2-4 in divisional matches.
The offense on this team has been very consistent. They rank in the top ten of the league for goals scored and shots on goal per game. Vegas has the fourth best power play and ninth best shooting percentage as well.
This team plays a complete game. On defense, they rank in the middle of the league for goals allowed but are second best for shots on goal allowed per game. Like their power play, their penalty is decent, ranking ninth best.
Goalie Akira Schmid is expected to get the start. He is 13-4-5 this season with a 2.49 GAA and a .895 save percentage. Schmid has been a key piece to this team's success with the absence of Adin Hill.

Los Angeles will try to snap Vegas' win streak at home

Los Angeles Kings winger Quinton Byfield scores a goal against Vegas Golden Knights goaltender Adin Hill.
The Kings are 19-16-1 this year and fifth in the Pacific Division. They come into this game off a loss to the Stars on Monday night. Los Angeles is 4-5-1 in their last ten games, 7-10-5 at home and 5-1-5 in divisional games.
LA has been slipping a little bit. Their offense hasn't been the best either, ranking in the bottom of the league for goals scored and shots on goal per game. Their power play is terrible, and they do not shoot the puck well at all.
Defense helps save this team from being a bottom of the league team. They rank fifth in goals allowed and eighth in shots on goal allowed per game. LA does commit about four penalties per game and only kill off 77% of them. They need to play smarter hockey.
In net, we're expected to see Darcy Kuemper. He is 12-9-7 this season with a 2.49 GAA and a .905 save percentage. Let's check out the odds and get into the Knights vs. Kings picks.

Give me the away team to keep rolling. The Kings aren't the best home team, and I think Vegas takes advantage, while possibly having fans in the stands. Vegas really looks like they're buzzing and we're riding with them for great value.
The Knights are without a doubt the better team here. I think they take advantage of the Kings and get an early lead. Once they get that lead, I don't see them looking back. The momentum they have currently is going to keep going, I think.
Give me Jack Eichel to keep on rolling. I like him for his 4 or more shots on goal. He's hit the mark in all three games of this winning streak, and it should keep up. I'm also sprinkling his anytime goal as he's scored four goals in his last three games.
Another play I'm sprinkling is Mark Stone for a goal. He has also been on fire with eight goals over his last ten games. Stone is just coming off a miss after being on a seven-game goal streak. I'm riding the wave here.
