We're heading to the Windy City to wrap up today's slate. The Vegas Golden Knights are in town tonight to take on the Chicago Blackhawks. These two teams met a month ago and the Knights won in a shootout 4-3.
Vegas is 17-11-11 this season and are second in the Pacific Division. They come into this game on a four-game losing streak after a loss Friday to the Blues. The Knights are 3-5-2 in their last ten games and 9-5-5 on the road.
Offense on this team has been very consistent. They rank fifteenth in goals scored per game but are in the top ten for shots on goal per game and power play conversion. Jack Eichel and Mitch Marner currently lead this offense.
Their defense is very consistent, like their offense. Vegas ranks fourteenth in goals allowed but second in shots on goal allowed per game. They don't commit many penalties and are in the middle of the league for penalty kill.
Goalie Carter Hart is expected to get the start. He is 4-3-3 this year with a 3.28 GAA and a .876 save percentage. Hart has been getting a lot of playing time with Adin Hill out on the IR.

Chicago will try to keep the winning streak alive tonight at home

Blackhawks forward Connor Bedard makes a move through the Knights defense last game.
The Blackhawks are 16-18-7 this year and seventh in the Central Division. They come into this game on a two-game winning streak after a shootout win over the Capitals yesterday. Chicago is 3-6-1 in their last ten games and 8-8-4 at home this season.
It's a tough time for the Hawks right now. They've been missing offense piece Frank Nazar for weeks and now Connor Bedard has been out. Bedard leads the team with 19 goals and 25 assist so far. They hope to see him back soon, but without him, their offense drops off big time.
Defense is like optional on this team, unless it's on the penalty kill. They rank in the middle of the league for goals allowed and in the bottom for shots on goal allowed per game. Chicago commits a lot of penalties but has the third best penalty kill in the league.
In net, we should see Arvid Soderblom. He is 4-7-1 this year with a 3.02 GAA and a .873 save percentage. Let's check out the odds and get into the Knights vs. Blackhawks picks.

We're going to go ahead and take the spread here for the Knights. With them needing a win badly and going up against a weak team who is missing their best player, this should be a breeze. Hart will need to hold up in net, but it is most definitely do-able.
If Soderblom gets the nod, which it's looking like he will, that is another huge advantage for the Knights. His 4.00 GAA is very attractive to that fast Knights offense. Chicago's struggling defense is not going to help this either.
I like for Mark Stone to have a big game. He has been of fire, scoring in his last three games and four out of five games. Stone's 3 or more shots on goal is +122 and we're going to take it. He's had 2 in each of his last two games, but I think this is a great game for him to fire away. We're of course sprinkling the anytime goal.
The game will most likely go under the 6.5 games. I don't see the Blackhawks scoring more than a goal and the Knights should put up around 4 or 5 goals. Should be a great spot for Vegas to get back on track.
