We're going where it's deary and usually raining. The Vancouver Canucks and Seattle Kraken will hit the ice tonight at Climate Pledge Arena. These two teams last met at the beginning of January and the Kraken won 4-3 in a shootout.
Seattle is 27-22-9 this season and fourth in the Pacific Division. They come into this game off a bad 5-1 loss to the Blues on Thursday. The Kraken are 6-4-0 in their last ten games, 14-9-5 at home and 12-6-1 in divisional games.
This team is currently sitting in the second wild car spot, but only by two points. The wild card spots are up for grabs as only six points separates first and fifth place in the wild card standings.
Offense is not one of Seattle's strong suits. They rank in the bottom of the league for goals scored and shots on goal per game. The Kraken are decent on the power play and in shooting percentage.
Their defense has been pretty weak except for goaltending. Seattle ranks eleventh in goals allowed but at the bottom for shots on goal per game. They commit four penalties per game but have the second worst penalty kill percentage.
Goalie Philipp Grubauer is expected to start. He is 11-6-3 this season with a 2.27 GAA and a .916 save percentage. Grubauer and Daccord have been solid for the Kraken this season.

Vancouver might as well tank for McKenna at this point

Vancouver Canucks forward Liam Ohgren scores a penalty shot on Seattle Kraken goaltender Joey Daccord.
The Canucks are 18-33-7 this year and last in the Pacific Division. They come into this game off an overtime loss to the Jets on Wednesday. Vancouver is 2-6-2 in their last ten games, 12-16-2 on the road and 5-7-2 in divisional games.
It's been a sad season for the Canucks. They said goodbye to the captain Quinn Hughes a few months ago, who just won a gold medal with Team USA. The offense on this team ranks in the bottom of the league and is practically nonexistent.
Defense it's even worse. They allow the most goals per game in the league and are in the bottom for shots on goal allowed. Vancouver commits about four penalties per game and has the worst penalty kill in the league, which can really kill you.
In net, we're expected to see Kevin Lankinen. He is 7-19-4 this season with a 3.34 GAA and a .876 save percentage. Let's check out the odds and get into the Canucks vs. Kraken picks.

I like for there to be goals, especially from Seattle. They need to win and should be pouring on the offense. Vancouvers defense being so poor plus a goalie with a high GAA sounds like goals to me. I wouldn't be surprised if the Kraken get 4 or 5.
Vancouver should hopefully sneak one or two by Grubauer. Seattle's defense isn't the best which should create chances for the Canucks. Guys like Jake DeBrusk and Elias Pettersson will be pushing on offense.
I like for Lankinen to go over his saves line. It should be set around 26 saves which is just one-off Kraken's shots per game average. Vancouver allows about 30 shots and I think Seattle's offense is going to produce that.
