We have the last game of the season for these two teams. The Montreal Canadiens and Philadelphia Flyers will meet for their season finale. These two teams last played each other back in December and the Flyers won the game 4-1.
Montreal is 48-23-10 this season and are second in the Atlantic Division. They come into this game off a win over the Islanders on Sunday. The Canadiens are 8-2-0 in their last ten games and a solid 24-8-8 on the road.
This team has looked great all season. They've been in contention all year and now it's time for it to get real. There is a small chance they get the first seed, but at this rate, I think they're playing either Buffalo or Tampa.
They've played well on both sides on the puck, but now it's like a whole new season going into the playoffs. I expect the Canadiens to come out swinging in this game and try to finish the season strong. They are the better team on paper tonight.
Goalie Jakub Dobes is expected to get the start. He is 29-9-4 this season with a 2.75 GAA and a .903 save percentage. Dobes has been fantastic this season and has been a huge part of the team's success this season.

Philadelphia officially clinched playoff spot last night

Flyers forward Owen Tippett high fives goalie Dan Vladar after a win this season.
The Flyers are 41-27-12 this year and third in the Metro Division. They come into this game off a shootout win last night vs. the Hurricanes. Philadelphia is 7-3-0 in their last ten games and 18-13-8 at home this season.
They should come into this game riding a high after clinching their playoff spot. It's crazy with how tight the standings were that Philly managed to sneak by New York and Columbus. The Atlantic Division took over the wild card spots so those weren't an option.
This team on paper doesn't look very good offensively. They ranked in the bottom of the league for goals scored and shots on goal per game. Philly's power play was the worst in the league as well. It's going to be tough to contend in the first round vs. the Pens.
On defense, they play a better game. The Flyers rank tenth in goals allowed and fourth in shots on goal allowed per game. In net, we're expected to see Dan Vladar. He is 28-14-7 with a 2.44 GAA and a .905 save percentage.

Both teams are going to play smart and possibly a little slow. There's no reason to risk an injury with the playoffs starting in a few days. It's definitely a great look at the under, but I also think the Canadiens win this game.
Philly's defense is good, but they commit five penalties per game, and the Montreal power play will eat that up. The Canadiens don't shoot the puck much, just accurately, so the Flyers defenses' shots allowed doesn't matter. Montreal's going to want to keep the momentum too.
I like for Cole Caufield to keep going off. Give me his 4 or more shots on goal as well as his anytime goal. His career season will always be memorable, but how he does in the playoffs will really define his season. He's going to rip puck tonight.
