Nothing like a good divisional matchup on this Saturday. The Montreal Canadiens will take on the Boston Bruins at TD Garden. These two teams played back in December and the Hab won by a score of 6-2.
Boston is 29-20-2 this season and are fifth in the Atlantic Division. They come into this game off a win over the Knights on Thursday. The Bruins are 8-2-0 in their last ten games, 11-12-1 at home and 8-8-0 in divisional matchups.
These boys have been battling and buzzing. Boston went on a six-game winning streak and has been hot ever since. They have beaten teams like the Knights, Penguins and Red Wings. The game against the Wings was a huge divisional win that they'll look to do again vs. the Habs.
On offense, they rank in the top ten for goals scored, power play conversion and shooting percentage. They don't shoot very much, ranking twenty first in the league, but that shooting percentage makes up for it.
They have struggled a little on defense. The Bruins rank eighteenth in goals allowed and twenty eighth in shots on goal allowed. Goalie Jeremy Swayman is going to get the start. Swayman is 19-12-2 this season with a 2.82 GAA and a .903 save percentage.

Montreal will try to continue to be road warriors tonight

Canadiens forward Nick Suzuki tries to get the puck passed Bruins goalie Jeremy Swayman.
The Canadiens are 28-16-7 this year and are third in the Atlantic Division. They come into this game off a loss to the Sabres on Thursday. Montreal is 6-3-1 in their last ten games, 14-5-6 on the road and 9-7-1 in division games.
A lot of similarities on offense for the Canadiens vs. the Bruins. They also are in the top ten of the league for goals scored, power play conversion and shoot percentage. In fact, Montreal has the best shooting percentage in league, but like Boston, doesn't shoot much.
They defense has been ok, but obviously they're getting the job done. Ranking twenty fourth in goals allowed and penalty kill percentage, but tenth in shots on goal allowed. Neither team plays smart hockey and commit a lot of penalties per game, so that should make it interesting.
In net, we're expected to see Samuel Montembeault. He is 9-7-2 this year with a 3.19 GAA and a .871 save percentage. Let's check out the odds and get into the Canadiens vs. Bruins picks.

I like Montreal to cool Boston off a bit. They're a solid road team, so going into Boston shouldn't play a factor. This team has been a surprise this season, but all those young pieces they've been putting together are paying off.
They absolutely took advantage of Swayman when they met last time. I believe they have his number and could light him up against. It will help to get their shot count up against a team who allows a ton would put this over the top.
I like for Cole Caufield to have another solid game and get 4 or more shots on goal. The kid is a stud and ripped the puck last game they played. He'll need to be heavily involved in the offense to keep the Habs in the game.
On the other side, I like Morgan Geekie to get 3 or more shots on goal. He has been such a key to this teams offense and should get his shots again like last game. Guy has been a sniper this season, so sprinkling his anytime goal is in order.
