Caspino said Gold's wife made $10 weekly parlay bets with a group of high school friends. He added that Gold had no involvement in those wagers.
The attorney also disputed the NFL's claim that Gold shared confidential Cardinals draft information. Caspino said Gold could not have disclosed the team's selections because he did not know them.
According to Caspino, only Cardinals owner Michael Bidwill and general manager Monti Ossenfort knew the team's picks beforehand. He said neither executive shared that information with Gold.
The NFL's investigation reached a different conclusion. The league said Gold provided non-public information about Arizona's 2026 draft selections before officials announced them.
