The NFL Week 17 schedule is loaded with big-time matchups, including a potential AFC Championship Game preview when the Miami Dolphins (11-4) collide with the Baltimore Ravens (12-3) at M&T Bank Stadium on Sunday, Dec. 31.
The Dolphins are surging at the moment, improving to 5-1 SU in their last six games with last week's 22-20 win over the Dallas Cowboys. The Ravens aren't slouches, though, as they come off a 33-19 victory against the San Francisco 49ers that extended their winning streak to five games.

Dolphins vs Ravens Prediction & Best Bet: NFL Week 17
It's no secret that this matchup is one of the most highly anticipated Week 17 tilts.
The Dolphins are one of the most fun teams to watch this season due to an offense that averages the most points and total yards league-wide. They're fortunate to have both WR Tyreek Hill, who leads the league with 1,641 receiving yards, and RB Raheem Mostert, who has an NFL-leading 21 total touchdowns. That's without mentioning names like QB Tua Tagovailoa and WR Jaylen Waddle.
Meanwhile, the Ravens aren't exactly slouches on offense. They might own the inferior passing game, but QB Lamar Jackson is still as elite as they come and is BetOnline's -190 favorite to be named NFL MVP. Additionally, Baltimore racks up the most rushing yards and ranks fifth for total yards per game.
Having said that, the Ravens have the edge on defense. While they allow a league-low 16.3 PPG, the Dolphins surrender 20.9 PPG (13th), which jumps up to a 25.6 PPG clip on the road (26th).
It's also worth noting that the Dolphins don't typically fare well against winning teams. Before last week's victory over the Cowboys, they were 0-3 against winning teams this season, losing to the Chiefs, Bills, and Eagles — all elite teams like the Ravens.
Things won't get any easier for Miami now that Baltimore is filled with confidence after overcoming San Francisco on the road. The Ravens have also been fantastic at M&T Bank Stadium, going 5-2 SU (4-3 ATS) through seven home games. That includes winning four of the last five by an average of 16.6 points.
The Ravens also have the Dolphins' number, having won eight of the last 11 matchups between these juggernauts. In fact, Baltimore picked up a 22-10 victory over Miami when the teams last met at M&T Bank Stadium on Nov. 11, 2021.
As good as the Dolphins are, the Ravens are my pick to win. Baltimore just beat a San Francisco team that was supposed to be the Super Bowl favorite. The Ravens are now the best team in the NFL and while the Dolphins will put up a fight, the latter's inferior defense will lead to the home team notching the victory.
With that said, I can't help but love the Over on the 47-point prop. After all, these are two of the four highest-scoring teams in 2023. The Over is also 11-4 in Miami's last 15 games dating back to 2022 while four of Baltimore's last five games went over their projected totals.
Additionally, the last five Dolphins-Ravens tilts averaged 53.0 total points and the two sides combined for 80 when they met last September.
