It's Week 8 and the NFL Season is flying by. We've only got so many touchdowns left to bet this year and you better believe I'm going to take advantage.

Last week was National TE Day and while we went 2 for 3 on our touchdown scorer; not nearly enough TEs got into the endzone. Going back to 2021, we've seen TEs score a ton the week following national TE week and while normally I wouldn't love a trend like that; this week we've got some great matchups.

This week we've got the top 5 teams in terms of TE touchdowns allowed against, all active. That means I'm going right back to the big boys this week.

TJ Hockenson

T.J. Hockenson Anytime Touchdown (+260) | Lucky Rebel

First touchdown I bet this week was T.J. Hockenson back at Ford Field. Hockenson hasn't really been involved in this Vikings' offense with Sam Darnold and J.J. McCarthy under center, but since Kyler Murray's taken the reigns; things have changed.

Going back to the start of 2024, Hockenson's seen a 13% target share with both McCarthy and Darnold under center; but that's jumped to 22% with Murray leading the offense.

In the redzone this year Hockenson's target share jumps to 27%, he's seeing a 29% 1st read target share from within 20 and he's got 3 targets from inside the 10-yard line this year.

The Lions have struggled against TEs this year, giving up a league high 10 touchdowns to the position and nearly 100 yards per game. Detroit's giving up the 2nd most redzone attempts per game to their opponents and they're allowing them to convert 72% of those attempts into touchdowns.

Majority of those touchdowns have gone to opposing TEs and this week a familiar face returns to Ford Field.

Geno Smith's revenge game kicks off this week and I will be sitting front row with a bucket full of popcorn. have a front row seat. Las Vegas rank 28th in points allowed, 30th in opponent redzone efficiency, 29th in opponent 1st downs and 29th in opponent yards per play.

Geno's also been good this year, he's got 10 touchdown passes, just 2 interceptions and he averaging just under 240 pass yards per game. The Raiders rank 22nd in pass yards allowed this year, they've given up 8 touchdowns to the position and they're allowing opponents to convert 79% of their redzone trips into touchdowns.

The hot new name at the TE position for New York is Kenyon Sadiq, but with Mason Taylor back on the field his target share nearly disappears. Taylors seeing a 19% target share in the redzone this year, 25% 1st read target share and he's got 2 targets in the endzone.

Taylor's had 6+ targets in back to back weeks and he's coming off the first 2 touchdown game of his career. He's just 22-years old and this Jets team still has a lot of faith in what this kid can do. With such a good matchup on the docket, I'm going right back to the young TE.

Dallas Goedert Anytime Touchdown (+235) | Lucky Rebel

Last touchdown scorer of the day and we're going to the very last game on the Sunday slate of games. Dallas Goedert is playing the Washington Commanders and the Commanders have been really bad at defending the TE position.

Washington's allowed 8 touchdowns to the TE position this year. Two of those touchdowns were Goedert in Week 1 and this defense hasn't gotten any better. Since that game, Isaiah Likely's gotten in for 2 touchdowns. George Kittle's got 1 touchdown against this defense and Jake Ferguson got in twice.

Tanner McKee will be under center for the Eagles and when he's under center he's looking at Goedert a lot. Since 2024, with McKee under center and Goedert on the field; Goedert's target share jumps 31% and 50% in the redzone.
