Week 8 brings us a matchup between LSU and Arkansas, both coming off massive, emotional victories. LSU edged out Ole Miss in overtime, while Arkansas pulled off a huge upset over Tennessee in Week 6 before their bye. With both teams riding high, this game sets up as a perfect spot to fade the hype.

Let's get into it!

#8 LSU vs Arkansas Predictions

Both LSU and Arkansas are coming off big emotional wins. LSU pulled off an overtime victory over at the time No. 9 Ole Miss as 3.5-point underdogs, while Arkansas upset then-No. 4 Tennessee as two-touchdown dogs before their bye week. Both teams stormed the field after those wins, and that's why I have to fade the post-storm hype.

I have not faced this exact situation since starting this system, so what's my call for this Week 8 matchup? The under. Why? The best way to fade both teams is to bet they don't score as many points as expected.

The total opened at 57.5 and has since dropped to 55.5. For transparency, I grabbed it early, but I don't hate 55.5—there's still a seven-touchdown cushion.

Both teams have gone under in their last three games. LSU is 4-2 on unders this season, and Arkansas is 3-3. Both defenses are allowing under 25 points per game, and at home, Arkansas holds teams to under three touchdowns.

The Razorbacks have been battle-tested, facing Auburn, Texas A&M, and Tennessee—three solid offenses—all of which were held to 25 points or less, with Auburn and Tennessee only managing 14 each.

LSU brings the best offense Arkansas has seen, but coming off an emotional overtime win and heading into Arkansas to face a team fresh off a bye, I see this one staying tight and under the total.

Theory Bets Results

The Fading the Storm Theory has been solid this season, boasting a record of 4-2-1 (+1.97u).
