Two Big Ten teams hoping to end up on the right side of the March Madness bubble will face off this afternoon as Wisconsin visits Michigan (2:00 pm ET, CBS).

The Badgers (16-11, 8-9 Big Ten) currently appear to be one of the last teams in the field of 68, while the Wolverines (16-12, 10-7 Big Ten) are on the outside looking in with three regular season games left.

With only road games at Illinois and Indiana remaining, today's home finale is a must-win game for Michigan.

Wisconsin Set for Annoying Afternoon in Ann Arbor?

Wisconsin opened Big Ten play with three straight wins over Maryland, Iowa, and Minnesota, and after a 63-60 win over the Golden Gophers on January 3, they were 11-2 overall.

Since then, they have won just five of 14 games, but they logged a 64-52 win over Iowa in Madison on Wednesday.

Now the challenge is to win consecutive games, which they haven't done thus far in 2023. Wisconsin is also looking to improve upon a poor road record, as they are 3-5 SU and ATS on the road in Big Ten play this season.

Those results don't really mesh too well with Michigan's home results.

There's a lot that hasn't gone right for the Wolverines this season, but they are 7-2 SU and 6-2-1 ATS at home in Big Ten play. Their lone home losses in conference play are a five-point loss to Purdue and a one-point loss to Indiana.

Michigan has also excelled as a favorite in conference play this season, going 8-1 SU and 7-2 ATS. The lone SU loss is the loss to the Hoosiers, in which the Wolverines were favored by three.

In contrast, Wisconsin hasn't fared well as an underdog in Big Ten play, going 3-7 SU and 3-6-1 ATS.

Also, the Wolverines have also been much better offensively at home than on the road in conference play.

In their nine home games, Michigan is averaging 76.7 PPG and has hit the 70-point mark seven times. But in their eight road games, they are averaging just 66.4 PPG and have hit the 70-point mark just twice.
