After sitting alone on top of the SEC just two weeks ago, the Texas A&M Aggies and Bucky McMillan have now lost three in a row. The ship seems to be sinking, but they have a chance to turn things around on the road this weekend as they face the No. 19 Vanderbilt Commodores. Vandy also spent some time alone on top of the conference earlier this year but have also been sent spiraling back down to Earth. Which of these teams will get a big win this weekend? Find out how our experts are betting this game with our favorite CBB picks below.

Texas A&M Aggies vs. #19 Vanderbilt Commodores NCAA Basketball Insights

This duo of Tyler's produces plenty of points for the Commodores this year
Losing three straight can be demoralizing to a team, especially with the last two being in front of your home crowd. Now the Aggies have the pick themselves up for a road trip to Music City and try to take down a top 20 opponent. But personally, I think they are capable. Obviously you don't want to lose to Missouri, but they nearly knocked off Alabama on the road and were a complete no show offensively against Florida, but the Gators are looking like they could go back to back.
As for Vanderbilt, they won 16 straight to start the season and were 3-0 in SEC play early on, but then that came to an abrupt halt. The Commodores lost three straight to Texas, Florida and Arkansas, but have now won four of their last five games overall. Is that a sign that they are moving in the right direction? Can they find a way to beat this Aggies team that seems like they have nothing left to lose?

Texas A&M vs. Vanderbilt Prediction: Texas A&M Wins Outright, Over 166.5
Best Bet: Texas A&M/Vanderbilt Over 166.5 (-110) Lucky Rebel Sportsbook
I think the Aggies win this one on the road, and I also think we see tons of points. However, and I cannot stress this enough, I have not booked this total yet. But, I will be on the Aggies team total over whenever it drops, and I am expecting it to be around 80.5. In my eyes, anything under 82.5 is a go.
Both teams love to run, which should generate plenty of opportunities for both teams to score, and against top 50 teams, Vanderbilt's defense certainly falls off. They are top 55 in pace in the country and speed up in their own gym, Texas A&M is just a little bit faster. Plus, the Commodores severely struggle to keep teams off the free throw line, ranking bottom 50 in FT Rate defense. The Aggies are a team that will take advantage of that stat.
Texas A&M shoots the ball well, do so very often from deep, and get in your face defensively, forcing turnovers and running the other way for easy points. While Vanderbilt does excel at defending the perimeter, they give up far too many threes, and eventually I think the Aggies can break through. Plus, the Commodores have had some of their worst defensive outings of the year recently, which doesn't give me much faith in their ability to slow down this high paced offense of Texas A&M.
This is a horrible matchup for the Commodores, and I think the Aggies are capable of pulling off this win and scoring plenty of points in the process.
