Saturday's college basketball slate is stacked with great spots to target. Tennessee seeks revenge for a 30-point loss to Florida, while Wake Forest looks to capitalize on Pitt's road struggles. With strong edges on both sides, these matchups are prime for Saturday's best bets.

#5 Florida vs #8 Tennessee Best Bet

How will Tennessee respond after their loss to Kentucky?

One of the best games on this massive Saturday slate and one of the best spots on the board. The Tennessee Volunteers host the Florida Gators after falling to an injury-riddled Kentucky squad on Tuesday. On top of that, they get a shot at revenge after suffering a 30-point beatdown at the hands of the Gators in their first meeting on January 7.

The Volunteers have been dominant at home this season. Despite their recent loss to Kentucky, they still boast a top-30 offense paired with a lockdown top-10 defense. They excel at forcing turnovers, controlling the glass, staying disciplined, and defending the perimeter. On top of that, they rank 11th in defensive block percentage.

Florida, on the other hand, has only played four true road games this season. While they hold a 3-1 record, their defense collapses away from home. The Gators rank 44th worst at forcing turnovers, 253rd in three-point defense, and 224th in defensive rebounding. This will be the best team Florida has faced on the road, and they happen to be running into a Tennessee squad that is without a doubt out for blood after that first embarrassment.

Give me the Volunteers.

Pitt vs Wake Forest Best Bet

Can Wake Forest snap out of their funk and take down the Panthers on Saturday?

The Pittsburgh Panthers are coming off their biggest win of the season, taking down the North Carolina Tar Heels at home, 73-65. Meanwhile, Wake Forest is on a two-game losing streak, falling to Duke by seven and Louisville by 13.

Pitt is a home gym merchant, they are horrendous outside of their own building. Haslametrics ranks the Panthers as the third-worst team away from home. Their entire team unravels in opposing arenas, with both offensive and defensive metrics plummeting. In their six true road games, they rank 40th worst in eFG% offense and 287th in eFG% defense. They are also among the worst in several key areas: 30th worst in defensive rebounding, 26th worst in three-point defense, and 28th worst in two-point percentage. Pitt is an absolute mess on the road.

Wake Forest, on the other hand, thrives defensively at home, ranking 56th in adjusted defensive efficiency. They will lock down Pitt's weak inside offense, with their 30th ranked two-point defense. While not an elite three-point shooting team, the Demon Deacons dominate inside, attack the rim, and crash the offensive boards. Second-chance points, getting to the free-throw line, and converting their chances will be the keys to their success against Pitt.

Riding the momentum of their big win, Wake Forest should catch the Panthers sleeping and sneak out a victory. Give me Wake Forest to win!
