Oklahoma State vs. UCLA TLDR
Through the first few days of women's March Madness, it has been smooth sailing for the top contenders. That pattern should continue with the Oklahoma State vs. UCLA matchup to close out the first week.
The Bruins (32-1) are the top seed in the Sacramento 2 Regional, but many feel that they should have been the top overall seed instead of UConn. The Huskies are undefeated, but UCLA owns a far superior resume, which contains a dozen ranked wins and a 21-0 run through regular season and tournament play in the Big Ten, one of the two toughest conferences in the country.
If there was any frustration about that, UCLA took some it out on poor California Baptist, who was overmatched from the outset in a 96-43 pummeling.
A second straight 50-point win may or may not happen, but the forecast is not promising at all for Oklahoma State vs. UCLA.
This has been one of the best seasons in program history, as the Cowgirls, the eighth seed in the Sacramento 2 Regional, have won 24 or more games in consecutive seasons for the first time and overall for just the fifth time.
That achieved was secured on Saturday with an 82-68 win over ninth-seeded Princeton, led by junior forward Achol Akot's 28 points (a career high) and 10 rebounds.
Advancing to the Sweet Sixteen for the fourth time in program history and first since 2014 does not look likely, however. At Lucky Rebel and other top online sportsbooks, UCLA is favored by a hefty margin for tonight's matchup at Pauley Pavilion.
Oklahoma State vs. UCLA TLDR
The Bruins should win in a rout, but Oklahoma State is one of the best offensive teams in the country, and that brings two total plays into the mix for this matchup.

Oklahoma State vs. UCLA Prediction and Analysis
Oklahoma State is one of two Big 12 teams averaging 80+ points this season, but the Cowgirls also built their success on defense as well.
They are 21-1 when allowing 70 or fewer points, with the lone loss (a 69-61 loss on January 7) at TCU, who is a 3-seed in the Sacramento 4 Regional and has reached the Sweet Sixteen.
When allowing 70 or more points, however, the Cowgirls are just 3-8, winning only against Miami (FL), Kansas, and Iowa State.
The latter is quite likely to occur in tonight's Oklahoma State vs. UCLA matchup.
The Bruins have scored 80+ points in 25 of 33 games, and they have been held to 70 or fewer points just twice this season. Once was their lone loss to date, a 76-65 loss to Texas in Las Vegas on November 26. The other was a 69-66 win on February 8 at Michigan, who has advanced to the Sweet Sixteen as the No. 2 seed in the Fort Worth 3 Regional.
Oklahoma State vs. UCLA Expert Picks
Oklahoma State Team Total Over 57.5 (-118 at Lucky Rebel)
Okie State/UCLA Over 142.5 (-114 at Lucky Rebel)
While the Bruins should stroll in this one, I do like this play a lot.
UCLA ranks first in the Big Ten in points allowed per game, field goal defense, and three-point defense. But the Bruins have also allowed 58 or more points in 20 of their 33 games. Even if the Cowgirls lose in a rout, a team that ranks second in the Big 12 in scoring, fourth in the Big 12 in field goal defense, and third in three-point shooting (and first in the conference in made threes per game at 9.2), should put up enough points for the team total over and the game over to both cash.
