The Sooners are floundering. They are just 1-8 in SEC play, losing eight straight after beating Ole Miss at home. Of course, they've faced plenty of ranked opponents in this loaded conference, and have had some very close calls, but can't find a way to get past the finish line. It won't get easier, and it seems like it's now or never for this 11-11 squad, who needs a miracle just to have a shot at the bubble.

As for the 22 million dollar roster of Kentucky, they've found their stride. Sure, they've lost Jaland Lowe and Jayden Quaintance, their two biggest transfers, for the rest of the season, but Mark Pope's team has found ways to win without them. After losing to Vanderbilt in Nashville, they took down the Hogs on the road. Now they host the unranked Sooners before playing No. 25 Tennessee at home this weekend and going to Gainesville next Saturday to face the No. 19 Florida Gators. Can they stay focused in this sandwich spot tonight?

The Sooners play negative amounts of defense, and we will be fading it tonight. The Wildcats jump from No. 167 to No. 128 in terms of possessions per game at Rupp Arena, and they aren't shy on offense. This team takes care of the ball, crashes the glass and isn't afraid to attack the rim and draw contact. Plus they shoot over 3% better from deep in their own gym. The Sooners won't have any answers.

Oklahoma jumps into the top half of the nation in tempo when on the road, proving they let their opponent dictate the pace of the game. They are bottom 12 in turnovers forced away from home, and north of 140 overall defensively. In road games this year against fast teams, the Sooners have allowed 83 to the Zags, 105 to Nebraska and 86 to Arizona State earlier this season. Plus, in three straight on the road, they have given up 83 to Texas A&M, 85 to South Carolina and 88 to Missouri. The Wildcats should have no problem putting up 82 points tonight at home against a very bad defense.

While one could be worried about Pope's team looking ahead to the Vols, that game is at home and Tennessee has no business being in the top 25, and the Wildcats are the much hotter team at the moment.
