The Sooners and the Bears won their College Basketball Crown Quarterfinal matchups and now go head to head in the CBC Semifinals. These two teams are plenty familiar with one another after Oklahoma and Baylor spent years battling each other in the Big 12 Conference. Now, the Sooners are members of the SEC, but there is still a "rivalry" feel between these two former conference foes. Will Porter Moser or Scott Drew lead their team to victory? Let's find out with our favorite picks.

Oklahoma split games with the two Big 12 teams they faced during the regular season, losing to Arizona State but beating Oklahoma State. Plus they took down Colorado in the CBC Quarterfinals. The Bears also beat Oklahoma State and Colorado, but split games with the Sun Devils in two regular season contests.
As far as SEC foes, the Bears did not see any, so we don't have any common opponents from the Sooners' conference. Regardless, we've got two teams that are fired up and looking to win this entire tournament. Because why else would they be playing in the College Basketball Crown in the first place?

Over the last part of the season, the Sooners were the much better team. Despite them struggling against the Buffaloes in their quarterfinal matchup, I see them pulling it out against the Bears. Let's look at how they performed over the last month or so of the season.
Before losing to Arkansas in the SEC Tournament, the Sooners strung together six straight wins, making them 7-3 in their last 10 games. They battled down the stretch and almost played their way back into the field of 68 but came up just short. Now they have the Crown on their mind. As for Baylor, they are just 4-7 in their last 11 games, with wins over Minnesota, Utah, UCF and Arizona State. Not very convincing teams to beat in my eyes. Especially considering the Sooners had wins over Texas A&M, who made the Round of 32, Texas, who went to the Sweet 16, and Auburn, who are playing in the NIT Championship on Sunday. Point being, Oklahoma not only has been more battle tested down the stretch, but they also have much better wins than the Bears.
Both coaches do have postseason success, as Scott Drew won the National Title in 2021, while Porter Moser led the Loyola Chicago Ramblers to the Final Four in 2018. Ultimately, I trust the Sooners a little more in this spot, and see them using their outside shooting to take down the Bears.
