Feast Week is upon us! There is ton's of College Hoops in season tournaments beginning today, so we are back for some more NCAA Basketball action! As always, we will be diving into the College Hoops slate to find our best bets for today! We've got a decent sized slate, however it is a very long season, so we will continue to pick our spots carefully.
Points, points, points! Here we are basically backing two very bad defenses to continue playing terribly. I'll admit, we do have two very slow teams in this contest, but neither can stop their opponents from scoring.
The visiting Purple Eagles of Niagara rank 334th in both Adjusted Defensive Efficiency and eFG% Defense. They give up plenty of offensive boards, and offensively they make it rain downtown. Niagara ranks 19th in 3P Rate, shooting over 51% of their shots from deep while hitting them at a 38.2% clip.
Kent State is 268th in eFG% Defense and barely forces any turnovers. They allowed Louisiana to shoot 45% from beyond the arc in their early season victory, and Niagara is a team that shoots better and more often than the Ragin Cajuns.
Don't be afraid, pay the juiceman. Baylor is the more battle tested, more talented team in this spot, and they've already played away from home. St. John's has beat up on bad teams at home and are in for a big wake up call in the Bahamas tonight.
Since they lost the Gonzaga, Baylor beat a solid Arkansas team on a neutral site and are coming off two straight wins where they scored triple digits. Overall, the Bears are the more talented team here, and I'll eliminate the spread by paying some juice on the ML for a straight up Baylor victory.

Dusty May takes over things in Ann Arbor, and things are going good so far. Michigan is beating bad teams as they should, with a small slip up against a decent Wake Forest team. While Tarleton State is certainly battle tested, playing teams ranked 59th, 115th, 94th, and 10th on Bart Torvik, they are still way out talented in this game. Michigan hasn't been playing a cupcake schedule either, but with games against Wisconsin, Iowa, and Arkansas up ahead, I see the Wolverines playing tough and using this as a tune up game.
It's a lot of points to cover but Michigan is very fast, playing great offense and defense, and shoots the ball very well from downtown. Let me just drop you some stats.
Michigan Wolverines Advanced Analytics
AdjO Eff: 16th
eFG%: 5th
OR: 17th
3P Rate: 65th
3p%: 23rd
AdjD Eff: 54th
eFG% D: 26th
Not only do they shoot over 46% of their shots from deep, but they make over 41% of them. Tarleton State ranks 291st in 3P Rate Defense and 350th in 3P% Defense, allowing their opponents to shoot 42% from deep. The Texans are 347th in eFG% Defense, 324th offensively in that stat, and send their opponents to the free throw line plenty.
This is going to be a good ole fashion ass whooping for Tarleton, who just lost to Baylor by 60.
