We are halfway through the week, and halfway to Super Bowl Sunday! However, we've got tons of College Hoops games before the big day, including several on the betting board tonight! Let's get into out favorite NCAA Basketball best bets on Wednesday's slate!
The Terriers host the Midshipmen tonight, and we are backing the under. Navy nearly ranks 200th in pace already, but our hosts are even slower. Boston ranks 355th in possessions per game, plus these teams already soared under. Navy and Boston saw 111 total points, soaring under the full game total of 131.
Today in Boston, that total has not changed at all, and if I'm the Terriers, I want to slow things down. Both of these teams are incredible at rebounding, so I don't think we see many second chance points. Boston is also 335th in offensive efficiency and 341st in turning over the ball. The Midshipmen are 293rd in eFG% offensive, and like the Terriers, rely on defense to win games.
Boston is 14-8 to the under this year, and 6-3 to the under at home. With Navy coming to town and Boston seeking revenge, I do not see much changing. This game will be slow paced and focused on defense.
We backed the under when these two teams played the first time. The total was 136 and we saw it barely squeak over ending on 139. Now they've raised the total a few points, and that's enough for me to take a stab at the under once again.
Loyola (MD) hasn't scored 70+ points in four straight games. They allowed 80 points to Lafayette so on the road tonight, I see them focusing on the defensive end. Offensively and defensively, the Greyhounds had their worst outing last time they faced the Leopards. I see them bringing their top defensive effort tonight.
Lafayette ranks 247th in possessions per game and their offense is atrocious. They take great care of the ball offensively, ranking 8th in the country in turnover rate. However all that means is they use up the shot clock and get a look at the hoop, but it rarely goes in. The Leopards are 323rd in overall offensive efficiency, 310th in eFG% and 329th in offensive rebounding. They are especially horrendous from inside the arc where over 62% of their shots come from.
Defensively, they are Top 115 in eFG% and 66th in offensive rebounds allowed. There will be very little second chance points or free throw attempts in this game, as both teams struggle to get to the line (North of 230) while keeping their hands to themselves defensively. Lafayette is Top 140 in FT Rate defense while the visitors are 54th in that category on the road.

Nate loves data and uses his understanding of numbers to help him be a more profitable sports gambler, however he will be the first to tell you this game is about more than just stats.
