We've got ourselves a top 10 showdown in Hilton Coliseum this weekend as the No. 5 Iowa State Cyclones look to get their revenge over the No. 9 Kansas Jayhawks. Earlier this year at Allen Fieldhouse, the Jayhawks ended the Cyclones perfect season by handing them their first loss of the year in dominating fashion. Now the two meet up again in Ames, as TJ Otzelberger's team tries to right their wrongs. Will they be able to slow down this red hot Kansas squad? Or do the Jayhawks keep on rolling? Let's find out what our CBB experts are betting in this matchup by checking out their favorite picks.

#9 Kansas Jayhawks vs. #5 Iowa State Cyclones NCAA Basketball Insights

The Jayhawks will need a big game from Flory Bidunga if they want to beat the Cyclones in Ames this Saturday
Last time these two teams played, we lucked out with a middle. We bet the over 143.5 as soon as it opened, and the total was bought all the way up to 151.5, prompting us to take the under at the higher number. Low and behold, things worked out, as the game ended at 147 total points, cashing both our bets.
It was an ugly game for Iowa State, as they didn't contribute much in the 84-63 loss, but what can you expect? The Jayhawks are nearly unbeatable at the Phog, but this time around, there might be some Hilton Magic in the air. Kansas has not won at Ames in three straight seasons, but they are riding an eight game winning streak, which began over the Cyclones. Can they finally pull off a win?

Kansas vs. Iowa State Prediction: Iowa State Wins, Kansas Covers, Over 141.5
Best Bet: Kansas/Iowa State Over 141.5 (-110) Lucky Rebel Sportsbook
I couldn't quite bring myself to back the Cyclones in this spot, as the number is a bit too high for me, and I don't have all the faith I need in the Jayhawks to back them on the spread. However, I will be playing this exactly how I played the last game. I am booking this over early on, with the hopes that it moves up, possibly enough for us to play another middle. Regardless, both teams should score in the 70s in this game.
We only saw 65 possessions the last time these teams met, but it's more than fair to say the Cyclones didn't do their part offensively. They only shot 37% overall and just 55% from the stripe, so I expect them to shoot much better on their home floor. Plus, the Cyclones are coming off a loss to TCU on the road. Clearly, they were looking ahead to this showdown, and they'll need to be fully focused, as the Jayhawks had a couple extra days of rest. Plus Darryn Peterson did not play at all against Arizona on Monday night. He should be good to go this weekend, but at this point, who knows what to expect out of the No. 1 overall NBA Draft pick.
Either way, we should see ample opportunity for points. Neither team is slow, and sure they are rock solid defensively. But the Jayhawks love to get out and run whenever they are given a fast break opportunity, and the Cyclones eFG% climbs from an already stellar 58.3% to over 61.4% at Hilton, putting them in the top five in the country. Plus they are 13-0 on their home floor.
Get your popcorn ready, because we are in for an absolute thriller on Saturday afternoon.
