John Calipari leads his No. 15 ranked Arkansas Razorbacks and their 15-5 record into Norman this Tuesday to take on Porter Moser and the Oklahoma Sooners. Now the two teams are trending in very opposite directions so far in SEC play, and we will see if that continues tonight. Arkansas has won two straight and three of their last four, while the Sooners have lost six straight since winning their first SEC contest. Let's get into our favorite picks and figure out how this game will shake out when it's all said and done.

#15 Arkansas Razorbacks vs. Oklahoma Sooners NCAA Basketball Insights

Oklahoma has been absolutely pitiful. They only suffered three losses in non conference play, to Gonzaga, Nebraska and Arizona State, two of which qualify as a really good team. To start off SEC play, they beat Ole Miss at home, but followed it up by losing their next six and only covering two of those spreads. Now they'll have their hands full with Arkansas.

But the Hogs need to prove they can do it on the road. They are 5-2 in conference play and are just 1-2 on the road in the SEC. Arkansas forgot how to play basketball when they went on the road to Auburn and Georgia, but have looked rock solid since then. Will they be able to put up plenty of points on the Sooners?

While I am still waiting for Arkansas to prove to me they can compete on the road, this is the perfect spot to do so. Oklahoma is floundering as it is, and are coming off an emotional overtime loss at Missouri, where the Tigers needed not one, but two buzzer beaters to send the game into OT and win it in the extra period.

That's demoralizing, and makes it much tougher to turn around and quickly wake up for this game.

The Hogs love to run, and they are very efficient on offense. They are fourth in the country overall, No. 22 in eFG% and are No. 11 at taking care of the basketball, plus they rank No. 26 in possessions per game. They have scored 85 points in 12 of their 15 wins this season, and in nine of their last 11 games overall. Against the Sooners' defense, it shouldn't be a problem.

Oklahoma is a team that is all offense. They can't force turnovers and can't keep teams off the offensive glass or the free throw line. The Sooners jump up at least 10 spots in possessions per game at home, and with a track team on the other bench, we should see at least 70 possessions. Both Alabama and Florida were able to take the Sooners for 70+ trips up and down the floor when they came to Norman. The Hogs can do the same.

Over the course of the season, the Sooners have been playing their worst defense over their last few games. I doubt they figure it out in time to make any major changes with Arkansas coming to town. Give me the Hogs to win in a blowout, but I'll still take their team total in case Nijel Pack gets hot from deep and keeps the Sooners alive longer than they deserve.
