The SEC gives us a top 25 matchup in Tuscaloosa this evening as the No. 25 ranked Alabama Crimson Tide take on the No. 20 Arkansas Razorbacks. Both Nate Oats and John Calipari's teams are coming off relatively easy home victories, and both are on multiple game winning streaks as well. The Hogs have won three straight since their loss to Kentucky at Bud Walton Arena, while the Tide have strung together four straight victories since losing to the Gators in Gainesville. Let's take a look at our CBB expert's favorite picks in this contest.

Both of these teams have had great seasons so far. The Tide are 18-7 overall and 8-4 in SEC play. The problem is, they are just 2-5 against ranked teams this season, beating St. John's and Illinois very early on in the year. Since then, they have lost four straight against ranked opponents, and this might be their only shot at adding another one to their resume during the regular season.

As for the Hogs, they are 19-6 overall and 9-3 in conference play. They are an even 4-4 against ranked opponents this season but have a battle with Florida in Gainesville near the end of the year. Can they finish strong and maybe pull out an upset win over the Tide on the road tonight?

Both teams are going to be SPRINTING up and down the floor as indicated by the 184 point total. This makes sense to me, as the Tide are literally the second fastest team in the nation, while Arkansas is in the top 30 as well. Get ready for an entertaining, fast paced, offensive game, but I think the Hogs' defense could be the deciding factor tonight in Tuscaloosa.

Woo Pig Sooie!! We are backing the Hogs on the road. Sure, they have been not as good away from home this season, but they are still one of the best teams in the country in my eyes. The lack of three point shooting could come back to haunt them tonight, but they certainly have the perimeter defense to combat the Tide's style of play.

Alabama shoots more threes than anyone in the country, shooting from deep on over 58% of possessions. However, they shoot just over 35%, which ranks them No. 144 in the country in that stat. That's not super efficient, and could come back to bite them. Arkansas' perimeter defense improves away from home, ranking top 60 in 3P Rate defense and top 25 in opponent 3P%, holding their hosts to less than 30% from beyond the arc. Not to mention Arkansas attacks the glass, gets to the free throw line and is a very good rebounding team.

Alabama is the third worst in the country at forcing turnovers, they are north of 270 in defensive rebounding, and north of 290 in FT Rate defense. Look for the Hogs to spend plenty of time at the line while Alabama plays catch up by chucking up threes that won't go in at the percentage they are used to seeing.
