The Memphis Grizzlies, still without superstar Ja Morant, continue their stay in Los Angeles but tonight to take on the Lakers in the NBA nightcap on TNT.
The Grizzlies are without Ja Morant and the Lakers are without LeBron Jaaes but the stars will be out tonight in what should be a battle from start to finish for these Western conference rivals.
Not only will tonight be a spectacle to watch, the Lakers will also be retiring the jersey of former Laker legend, Pau Gasol.
Both of these teams meet tonight are missing their biggest stars and because of that, this game is virtually a pick'em.
No LeBron for the Lakers due to injury and no Ja for the Grizzlies due to suspension gives this game a whole different feel than when they met earlier this season.
The season series is split 1-1 and I expect another close game tonight.
The Lakers are currently 11th in the West but are only 3 game back from the 5th place Warriors. It is very muddled in the middle of the West right now and if the Lakers can stack some wins, their playoff hopes will become more and more a reality.
If they drop a few games, their playoff hopes would be on life support.
Every game is important for the Lakers and equally so for the Grizzlies.
Fresh off of a loss to the Clippers in Crypto 2 nights ago, the Grizzlies will want to get a win to stop their 2 game losing streak and stay 1.5 games ahead of the Kings.
Another loss, and the Kings and Suns will be breathing down the neck of the 2nd place Grizzlies.
Every game matters now and tonight will be a slugfest all night long. One team to stay at the top of the West, the other to simply stay alive.
I am just going to ride with the home team, on the moneyline, to get the job done in front of the Laker faithful tonight.
Anthony Davis will have a chance to dominate and honor Pau Gasol with a big man performance to remember and lead the Lakers to victory.
I love the Lakers to win but I think the Grizzlies hang around and it will be largely due to the play of our buddy Tyus Jones.
Jones just had a sensational performance against the Clippers last game, dropping 25 points and 12 dimes.
And that is nothing new when Jones starts for Ja Morant.
Without Ja, Jones has gone over 23+ Points and Assists in 6 of the last 10. And when he goes over, he soars.
I expect Jones to have another 20/10 performance tonight.
In all 6 of his hits on his P+A, he has scored 20+ points. 20+ is a fine plus money small unit bet as well 😉
Bonus: Tyus Jones 20+ (+180)
