With all 30 NBA teams in action tonight, we're going to call tonight's best bets our very own version of everyone's favorite docuseries; 30 for 30.
It's important to focus on a day like today, with so many matchups to choose from and so many props to bet. Tonight I'm honing in on 3 games, all 3 with high totals, My focus is usually on high pace teams, playing in games with high totals; where I know offense will be aplenty.
Let's jump right into my 3 favorite props tonight.
For additional information on picks, props, moneylines, and more on today's slate, take a look at our NBA Picks Page or our NBA Odds Page.
First guy that jumped off the page is a guy who's already cashed us out a few times this year. Cooper Flagg has an argument that he's been the best player in the NBA so far through this small sample size of games.
Flagg is in his sophomore year and he's averaging 26.8 points, 6.0 rebounds and 6.6 assists per game. In addition to scoring, Flagg's averaging 2.6 steals and 1.2 blocks per game and he's doing all of this with a 66% true shooting percentage.
The Dallas Mavericks' are a completely different team when Flagg's on the court and his impact can be felt everywhere. Dallas has a offensive rating of 120.3 with Flagg playing, but 107.4 with him off the floor. The same goes for the team's defensive rating; it goes from 104.7 with Flagg on the court to 122.2 without him.
Cooper's scored 26+ points in 4 of the 5 games he's played. he's averaging 12.2 potential assists and 11.2 rebound chances per game. Sacremento ranks 30th in opponent effective field goal percentage, 29th in assists allowed and 27th in opponent 3-point percentage.
I'm looking for Cooper to stuff the stat sheet tonight in his first game this year without Kyrie Irving.
The Sixers host the Bulls tonight and that means we're going to see a ton of shots go up tonight. Chicago is 1st in pace this year, but 30th in effective field goal percentage. The Bulls are 25th in opponent effective field goal percentage, 24th in opponent offensive rebounding rate, 28th in rebounds allowed and 27th in assists allowed.
Chicago's giving up a ton of points, taking a ton of shots and not making any of their own. It's lead to more rebounding opportunities, more potential assists and it's created environment that pushes for offense.
VJ Edgecome is playing 33.3 minutes per game and he's cleared this line 4 of the team's last 5 games. Edgecombe's averaging 7.4 potential assists per game in those 5 games, 13.6 rebound chances and 1,8 offensive rebounds per game.
Edgecombe's also cleared this line in all 3 games he's played against the Bulls in his short career and it's because of how fast Chicago plays.
Last game of the night and we're headed to Hollywood. The Lakers host the Heat tonight at Crypto and with how much offense I'm expecting to come out of this game, I'm looking right at my man Ar-15.
Austin Reaves is the clear #2 here in Los Angeles and he's been playing like it. Reaves is seeing a career high 25.2% usage rate and he's been great in the extended role. He's averaging 23.1 points per game this year and he's doing it while shooting 52% from the field and 40% from beyond the arc.
In addition to scoring, Reaves is adding 3.4 rebounds and 5.1 assists per game and he's averaging just under 2 stocks per game.
The Heat rank 26th in points allowed, 27th in opponent effective field goal percentage allowed and they play at the 3rd highest pace in the NBA. Los Angeles has the #1 effective field goal percentage in the league this year, they rank 4th in 3-point percentage, 8th in points and 6th in fast break points.
Los Angeles is scoring a lot of points and Austin Reaves has been the perfect Iceman to Luka's Maverick. Look for them to get out and running once again tonight.
