Featured Prelim: Cam Rowston vs Robert Bryczek Preview – Middleweight

UFC Perth Jack Della Maddalena vs Carlos Prates Preliminary Card Preview, Odds, Watch Info & FAQ

Rowston Returns To The Octagon To Take On Robert Bryczek

Home grown star Cam Rowston will make his return to the octagon Saturday night. He draws a great match up against Polish kick boxer Robert Bryczek.

Bryczek will be making his 3rd appearance with the UFC when he takes on Rowston. The Polish prospect was signed in early 2024 from the Oktagon promotion where he found some success.

In Oktagon Bryczek had a record of 4-3 but finished his run on a 3 fight win streak. The level of competition added with the short win streak earned him a contract with the UFC.

It would seem as if Bryczek is on a similar path in the UFC as he was in Oktagon. In his debut bout he lost a very tough decision to Ihor Potieria where he struggled.

Fortunately for him the UFC gave him a great bounce back match up he was able to capitalize on. Bryczek drew the match up of Brad Tavares and made the most of his opportunity with an exciting round 3 knockout.

Now 9 months later the UFC has given him a tough match up with a rising star in enemy territory. Cam Rowston is Australian born and fighting out of City Kickboxing which is also located in that region of the world.

Will Rowston Continue His Run?

Great coaching and even better training partners at City Kickboxing has has helped establish itself as a top gym in MMA. Rowston made a splash on the UFC scene after a very impressive performance on Dana White's contender series.

A first round knockout earned him a contract with the UFC and he has since capitalized on the opportunity. The prospect is rolling into the match up with serious momentum after back to back knockouts to open his UFC tenure.

Now on a 3 fight knock out streak with a 6 fight winning streak, Rowston has shown he has true potential as a middleweight contender. The UFC seems to be slow rolling him with this match up against Bryczek with the comfort of being at home.

Cam Rowston vs Robert Bryczek Odds:

  • Moneyline: Cam Rowston (-170) vs Robert Bryczek (+145)
  • Round Total: 2.5 Total Rounds – Over (+153) / Under (-175)
  • Most Likely Method Of Victory: Cam Rowston By Submission (+225)

Junior Tafa vs Kevin Christian Preview – Light Heavyweight

UFC Perth Jack Della Maddalena vs Carlos Prates Preliminary Card Preview, Odds, Watch Info & FAQ

Home Town Star Tafa Looks To Get Back In The Win Column Against Christian

Home town star Junior Tafa will make his return to the octagon Saturday. A hard match up will await him as fans will see the return of UFC new comer Kevin Christian making his second appearance with the promotion.

The UFC did Christian no favors in his UFC debut bout either. Christian was tasked to take on another tough Aussie prospect in Billy Elekana where he was ultimately submitted in the 1st round.

The loss snapped a 7 fight winning streak for Christian as well. He earned his contract with an impressive performance on the contender series in 2024 with a submission win of his own.

The debut loss to Elekana only further proves there is levels to the MMA game. Christian may have not been ready then but the UFC has sure given him a much more winnable match up this time out.

He will be taking a step down in competition when he takes on Tafa saturday night. Tafa has had 7 fights now in the UFC and has gone 2-5 in that time.

It should be mentioned that Tafa joined the UFC just 4 fights into his Pro career at just 25 years old. The Aussie was extremely green to MMA and it showed in his game, a massive grappling hole has been exploited in his fights.

Will Tafa Get Back In The Win Column?

Tafa is the younger brother of former heavyweight Justin Tafa which explains his fast track to the UFC. It also could shed further light on why Junior started his career at Heavyweight but has since moved down to Light Heavyweight.

Even at light heavyweight he has not been on the best run coming off back to back submission losses. The Aussie has proved he is a true striker with his only 2 UFC wins coming by way of knockout.

The UFC has only done Tafa the favor of fighting in his back yard here. Christian is a credentialed grappler with a clear game plan to wrestle.

MMA fans are left wondering if Tafa will be able to stop the takedown.

  • Moneyline: Junior Tafa (-210) vs Kevin Christian (+180)
