Featured Preliminary Bout: Alex Morono vs Daniil Donchenko Preview – Welterweight

TUF 33 Winner Makes His UFC Debut Vs A Seasoned Veteran
The Featured Preliminary bout of the card is sure to be fireworks. The Ultimate Fighter 33 winner Daniil Donchenko will make his UFC debut against serviceable veteran Alex Morono.
Morono draws a tough match up with a talented young prospect here. The veteran will be at a disadvantage in many areas of the match up, most notably being the 11 year age gap separating the fighters.
To make matters worse, Morono is 0-3 in his last 3 fights with his back up against the wall for another contract. There is no more dangerous opponent then a seasoned veteran with his back against the wall.
Donchenko receives a huge step up in competition here in a big featured preliminary spot. The prospect is riding the momentum of a 7 fight winning streak including a KO finish to win TUF and earn a UFC contract.
A tough task will lie ahead of him as Morono is a hard test for any UFC level opponent. The TUF winner will look to pass that test and make a splash in his UFC debut.
Alex Morono vs Daniil Donchenko Odds:
- Moneyline: Alex Morono (+575) vs Daniil Donchenko (-800)
- Round Total: 1.5 Total Rounds – Over (+105) / Under (-125)
- Most Likely Method Of Victory: Daniil Donchenko By KO/TKO (-175)
Niko Price vs Nikolay Veretennikov Preview – Welterweight

Short Notice Match Up On The Preliminary Card
MMA legend Niko Price will make his return to action Saturday night against UFC new comer Nikolay Veretennikov. Unfortunately this bout was made on a a few weeks notice due to Veretennikov's original opponent pulling out.
In steps Niko Price, who is a long time UFC veteran and always willing to throw down. He may have bit off a little more then he can chew in this match up, as Veretennikov is a dangerous striker.
Unfortunately at 36 years old MMA fans have seen Price's best years pass him by. Currently on a 2 fight losing skid, he has been finished in 3 of his last 5 fights overall.
This is a match up where could shine with a big statement win. The prospect is looking to bounce back after a tough decision loss where he was out grappled.
A big finish could push Veretennikov into bigger fights as he climbs the rankings. The grappling prowess of Price despite his age, is what makes this even more of an intriguing match up.
Niko Price vs Nikolay Veretennikov Odds:
- Moneyline: Niko Price (+190) vs Nikolay Veretennikov (-225)
- Round Total: 1.5 Total Rounds – Over (-175) / Under (+153)
- Most Likely Method Of Victory: N/A
Bruna Brasil vs Ketlan Souza Preview – Womens Strawweight

Violent Striker Souza Takes On Fighting Nerds Prospect Brasil
Fans are in for a treat when top Strawweight contenders face off Saturday night. Violent striker Ketlan Souza will take on grapple heavy prospect Bruna Brasil.
A stark contrast in styles separate the fighters in the match up. Bruna Brasil likes to get her grappling going to control the fight and dictate the pace, while Souza tends to make fights bar room brawls.
Souza is on a tough run as of late the loser of 2 straight bouts but a big finish over Brasil could re assert herself in the rankings. On the other hand, Brasil is coming into the match up on the heels of a big bounce back victory.
An interesting note is that Bruna Brasil has been knocked out in 3 of her professional losses. This could leave the door wide open for Souza to find an opening for her big right hand.
As far as grappling goes, Souza has shown very little take down defense within the UFC. The take down opportunities should be plenty some for Brasil and will pave the way for a great performance.
Bruna Brasil vs Ketlan Souza Odds:
- Moneyline: Bruna Brasil (+130) vs Ketlan Souza (-150)
- Round Total: 2.5 Total Rounds – Over (-350) / Under (+280)
- Most Likely Method Of Victory: Ketlan Souza By Points (+100)
Said Nurmagomedov vs Javid Basharat Preview – Bantamweight

High Level Bantamweight Match Up
A high level Bantamweight match up between top contenders lies on the early preliminary card. Said Nurmagomedov will take on Javid Basharat in an important match up.
The bout is of the utmost importance as both fighters are on 2 fight skids. Both fighters will look to get back in the win column though this is no easy match up.
Said Nurmagomedov is a high level Russian striker with very versatile attacks. Through his career he has shown questionable fight IQ and poor take down defense which explains some of his losses.
Nurmagomedov draws a tough match up against Basharat, as he is a high pace & high IQ fighter. In many of his wins Basharat is able to combine his grappling, distance control, and volume to produce decision wins.
As of recent Basharat has shown some weakness in his chin, collecting his first knock out loss of his career. It may not mean much in this match up as Said Nurmagomedov only has 2 knock outs in his 11 fight UFC career.
Said Nurmagomedov vs Javid Basharat Odds:
- Moneyline: Said Nurmagomedov (+110) vs Javid Basharat (-130)
- Round Total: 2.5 Total Rounds – Over (-290) / Under (+237)
- Most Likely Method Of Victory: Javid Basharat By Points (+105)
Cong Wang vs Eduarda Moura Preview – Womens Flyweight
The UFC have matched up two young & rising prospects in the Womens Flyweight division. Exciting Chinese prospect Cong Wang will square off with Brazilian grappling specialist Eduarda Moura.
Cong Wang has made quite the splash in the UFC since earning her contract on The Road To The UFC series. The talented striker made a statement in her debut fight with a quick KO finish.
Currently she is on a 2 fight winning streak and quickly rising up the rankings. Wang has quite the personality which has added to her hype, often dressing up as The Joker for her face offs.
The only loss of her UFC tenure came to a top level grappler in which she was submitted. A weakness that high level grappler Eduarda Moura could 100% exploit.
The Brazilian prospect Moura is also currently on an impressive 2 fight winning streak. Evolving her striking skills and showing real cardio along the way, her last win over Lauren Murphy was impressive.
In a match up with such a contrast in styles, it is safe to say someone will show holes in their game. Will Wang be able to show off her striking against the grappler Moura or will Moura dominate in the grappling?
Cong Wang vs Eduarda Moura Odds:
- Moneyline: Cong Wang (-350) vs Eduarda Moura (+285)
- Round Total: 2.5 Total Rounds – Over (-185) / Under (+161)
- Most Likely Method Of Victory: Cong Wang By Points (-110)
Muin Gafurov vs Jakub Wiklacz Preview – Bantamweight

Bantamweight Match Up
The UFC has made another interesting match up on the Prelims Saturday night. Jakub Wiclacz will take on Muin Gafurov in a 3 round bout between high level fighters.
The match up is made interesting by the fact both Wiclacz & Gafurov are both coming off of huge upset wins over top contenders. Gafurov is rolling on the momentum of taking down Rinya Nakamura while Wiclacz has just upset Patchy Mix.
This bout is shaping up to be a battle of the underdogs to reveal the true contender. Wiclacz showed real heart in his last bout but the young prospect has a lot of room to grow in the UFC.
The Split Decision Win was by far the biggest of his career. Wiclacz will be looking to capture the new hype around Gafurov considering his rise in the rankings as well.
Gafurov is no easy test for any prospect. The high level wrestler has had a shaky start to his UFC tenure but has put together a few solid performances over top contenders.
There is no question Gafurov will look to wrestle in this match up. In a grapple heavy match up Gafurov could run away with this on the judges scorecards if he is able to control Wiclacz and wear him out.
Jakub Wiklacz vs Muin Gafurov Odds:
- Moneyline: Jakub Wiklacz (+125) vs Muin Gafurov (-145)
- Round Total: 2.5 Total Rounds – Over (-135) / Under (+115)
- Most Likely Method Of Victory: Jakub Wiklacz By Submission (+200)
Priscila Cachoeira vs Klaudia Sygula Preview – Bantamweight

Violent Womens Match Up Opens The Card
A very exciting match up will open the preliminary card Saturday night. Priscila Cachoeira will take her aggressive style into a match up with Klaudia Sygula.
In her UFC career Cachoeira has always shown an exciting style in her bouts. An aggressive come forward striker, she is willing to take a lot of damage and inflict more when given the opportunity.
On a tough run as of late being 2-3 in her last 5 with all 3 losses coming by way of finish. The real problem relies that she often has to dog out every win, and in match ups with dangerous fighters she is a liability.
On the other side this could be a fantastic match up for Sygula. Klaudia Sygula is a highly skilled striker in her own right and carries a big age advantage going into the match up.
In a match up between 2 woman willing to throw down this will come down to who can receive more damage. This has all the makings to be a lay up spot for Sygula to dominate and put a statement on a win.
Priscila Cachoeira vs Klaudia Sygula Odds:
- Moneyline: Priscila Cachoeira (+133) vs Klaudia Sygula (-153)
- Round Total: 2.5 Total Rounds – Over (-115) / Under (-105)
- Most Likely Method Of Victory: Klaudia Sygula By Points (+180)
