UFC 306: O’Malley vs. Dvalishvili is just over 24 hours away as the UFC prepares to invade the Sphere in Las Vegas on Saturday. The main card tends to garner most of the attention, however, the early fights also offer their fair share of entertainment — especially when it comes to MMA betting opportunities.
It can be hard to find the right bet for you, though, which is why this article is here to help.
Without wasting more time, let’s dive into my UFC 306 preliminary card predictions and picks.
UFC Vegas 96 prelim predictions: 4-1-0
UFC Vegas 96 prelim best bets: 2-3-0
UFC 306: O’Malley vs Dvalishvili Preliminary Card Odds & Predictions
UFC 306: O’Malley vs Dvalishvili odds are courtesy of BetOnline as of Friday, Sept. 13 at 1:20 p.m. ET.
Irene Aldana vs. Norma Doumont Odds — Women’s Bantamweight
- Record: Irene Aldana (15-7) vs. Norma Doumont (11-2)
- Moneyline: Irene Aldana (-115) | Norma Doumont (-105)
- Round total: 2.5 — Over (-450) | Under (+350)
- Most likely method of victory: Aldana via points (+115)
- Last 10 fights: Aldana — 7-3 | Doumont — 8-2
After failing to win the UFC Women’s Bantamweight title at UFC 289, Irene Aldana rebounded with a unanimous decision win over Karol Rosa back in December. She’s now going up against the red-hot Norma Doumont, who extended her win streak to four consecutive fights by defeating Germaine de Randamie via unanimous decision in her bantamweight debut.
In a fight that could go either way, I see Aldana winning. Doumont’s latest loss came against Macy Chiasson, who Aldana KO’d decisively at UFC 279. It’s also worth noting that the favorite’s last three losses came against Amanda Nunes, Holly Holm, and Raquel Pennington, so it’s safe to say that she’s used to facing tougher opponents than Doumont.
With that in mind, you should back Aldana outright.
Aldana vs. Doumont prediction: Irene Aldana
Best Aldana vs. Doumont bet: Aldana ML (-115)
Ignacio Bahamondes vs. Manuel Torres Odds — Lightweight
- Record: Ignacio Bahamondes (15-5) vs. Manuel Torres (15-2)
- Moneyline: Ignacio Bahamondes (+120) | Manuel Torres (-140)
- Round total: 1.5 — Over (-110) | Under (-120)
- Most likely method of victory: Bahamondes via KO/TKO (+215)
- Last 10 fights: Bahamondes — 7-3 | Torres — 8-2
After losing in his debut, Ignacio Bahamondes has gone 4-1 in his last five UFC fights with three victories coming via knockout/submission. Conversely, Manuel Torres is heading into UFC 306 on a six-fight win streak, having finished each of his opponents in the opening round.
These fighters are going to go balls to the wall as soon as the bell rings, which I think will suit Torres more. He owns an impressive 93.3% career finish rate and hasn’t fought into the second round since 2018. With that being said, let’s take Torres to win inside the distance.
Bahamondes vs. Torres prediction: Manuel Torres
Best Bahamondes vs. Torres bet: Torres to win inside the distance (+120)

Yazmin Jauregui vs. Ketlen Souza Odds — Women’s Strawweight
- Record: Yazmin Jauregui (11-1) vs. Ketlen Souza (11-2)
- Moneyline: Yazmin Jauregui (-500) | Ketlen Souza (+385)
- Round total: 2.5 — Over (-275) | Under (+215)
- Most likely method of victory: Jauregui via points (-160)
- Last 10 fights: Jauregui — 9-1 | Souza — 7-3
Yazmin Jauregui is back on track after notching a UD victory over Sam Hughes back in February. Her next test comes against Ketlen Souza, who defeated Marnic Mann via points in her strawweight debut five months ago.
It’d be silly to doubt Jauregui, so let’s take her to win via KO/TKO. While that isn’t the likeliest victory method, the 25-year-old still holds seven knockout victories to her name and has finished three of her last six opponents. Meanwhile, Souza has been finished four times in her career, including when she was most recently submitted by Karine Souza in June 2023.
Jauregui vs. Souza prediction: Yazmin Jauregui
Best Jauregui vs. Souza bet: Jauregui via KO/TKO (+260)
Edgar Chairez vs. Joshua Van Odds — Flyweight
- Record: Edgar Chairez (11-5, 1 NC) vs. Joshua Van (10-2)
- Moneyline: Edgar Chairez (+200) | Joshua Van (-235)
- Round total: 2.5 — Over (-200) | Under (+160)
- Most likely method of victory: Van via points (+115)
- Last 10 fights: Chairez — 6-3, 1 NC | Van — 8-2
After a 3-0 start to his UFC run, Joshua Van was brought back to earth with a 20-second knockout loss to Charles Johnson in July. He’ll look to reverse his fortunes against Edgar Chairez, who picked up his first-ever UFC win by submitting Daniel da Silva seven months ago.
Chairez is a solid prospect, don’t get me wrong, but Van’s offensive output will likely be too much for the former to handle. Considering how judges are putting more of an emphasis on striking, I won’t be shocked if Van lands enough blows to win by unanimous decision.
Chairez vs. Van prediction: Joshua Van
Best Chairez vs. Van bet: Van via unanimous decision (+130)

Raul Rosas Jr. vs. Aoriqileng Odds — Bantamweight
- Record: Raul Rosas Jr. (9-1) vs. Aoriqileng (25-11, 1 NC)
- Moneyline: Raul Rosas Jr. (-1000) | Aoriqileng (+700)
- Round total: 1.5 — Over (-105) | Under (-125)
- Most likely method of victory: Rosas via submission (-155)
- Last 10 fights: Rosas — 9-1 | Aoriqileng — 6-3, 1 NC
Raul Rosas Jr.’s exciting UFC tenure continued as he submitted Ricky Turcios with a rear-naked choke back in June. He’s now up against Aoriqileng, who hasn’t stepped foot in the cage since having his eye accidentally poked by Daniel Marcos at UFC Vegas 86, resulting in a no-contest.
While Aoriqileng is a decent grappler, Rosas has the edge in that department as he averages 4.39 takedowns and 1.8 submissions per 15 minutes. All it takes is one moment for the 20-year-old prodigy to put his opponent on the mat. Considering how Aoriqileng has already been submitted thrice throughout his nine-year career, I’m taking Rosas to win via submission.
Rosas vs. Aoriqileng prediction: Raul Rosas Jr.
Best Rosas vs. Aoriqileng bet: Rosas via submission (-155)
