Week 2 of Dana White's Contender Series kicks off tonight with a huge 5 fight card. MMA fans across the globe are ecstatic to have some mid week violence again in our lives.
The card this week features many returns to the contender series as many will be making their 2nd appearance on the show. 4 of the 5 bouts feature a fighter who failed on their first attempt to secure a contract.
These fighters include Kaik Brito, Trent Miller, Cristian Perez & Alik Lorenz. To make matters a tad worse, all 4 lost by way of knock out in their first attempt at gaining a contract.
Some such as Cristian Perez & Alik Lorenz, had absolute nightmare match ups in their first attempt. Now on the second opportunity they have much winnable match ups and have hopefully made advancements in their game to finally secure the UFC contract.
A big night of violence awaits at the UFC apex tonight. Lets not waste anymore time and dig right into a preview of the Card going down live from Las Vegas!

Featured Bout: Namo Fazil vs Kaik Brito Preview – Welterweight

The Highly Anticipated Featured Bout Of The Evening
The headlining bout of Dana White's Contender Series tonight is sure to end the card off with a bang. Kaik Brito will make his second attempt of gaining a UFC contract when he takes on Namo Fazil tonight.
Brito made his first appearance in 2023 against Oban Elliott where he came up short on the judges score cards. The loss does not define Brito as it was Elliott's best performance of his career, a true cant deny me type of night for him.
Elliott has since gone 3-3 in the UFC, which does not paint the brightest picture for Brito considering it was such a close fight. To make matters some what worse, Brito was knocked out by a brutal head kick in 2024 by Ion Surdu, a talented prospect none the less.
Brito has some what turned a corner since by putting together back to back wins. Both performances impressed many, with both coming by way of knock out.
His most recent performance was ever more impressive due to the knock out coming in the 3rd round. Brito showed improved cardio to go along with his solid striking.
It remains to be seen if Brito is actually UFC level but in my opinion , a 3-1 record since the contender series does not paint him as the "A side" here. Namo Fazil is a new comer on the scene most recently making a name for himself on Netflix MVP MMA card.
Will Fazil Pass His Biggest Test To Date?
I imagine that bout is what brought him to the attention of UFC brass in the first place. Fazil won the bout over Jake Babian by anaconda choke, an impressive submission for someone with only 11 fights on his record.
The finish put him on the UFC radar enough to book him as the headlining bout here. Namo Fazil is fighting out of Kurdistan but does most of his training at the infamous Tiger Muay Thai in Thailand.
The gym is known to produce some of the top Kickboxing prospects in the world. Which also makes Fazil an evermore intriguing prospect due to his high level submission skills.
There is no doubt in my mind the striking team at Tiger Muay Thai can take Fazil's game to the next level here. I also believe its rather clear what the UFC is doing here, Fazil is the bonafied A side in the fight.
This match up seems set up to get Fazil a big time finish over a proven prospect in Brito. I expect Fazil to get his hand raised and earn himself a UFC contract with another highlight reel to add to his resume.
