Small two-game slate today in the WNBA. The Los Angeles Sparks are going to take on the Atlanta Dream followed by the Phoenix Mercury facing the Minnesota Lynx. Both games have the potential to be really good or complete blowouts – no in between.
Trying to look for different angles and trends with small slates. I think we should have three winners on our hands for tonight. Let's check out tonight's Best Bets in the WNBA.

WNBA Best Bet #1: Dearica Hamby to record 16 or more points (-130)

Los Angeles Sparks forward Dearica Hamby watches as she nails down a three-point shot.
We're heading to the ATL for this pick tonight. The Los Angeles Sparks are facing the Atlanta Dream at the Gateway Center Arena. I think this is a good spot to ride a hot hand and that is Sparks forward Dearica Hamby.
She is averaging 14.8 points and 7.7 rebounds per game this season. Currently, with no Kelsey Plum, the team has looked at her and Nneka Ogwumike to step up and Hamby has. She is coming off three straight games of hitting this line and four of her last five. That fifth game was a hook, ending with 15 points.
It should be a different kind of game down low with no Angel Reese. This gives Hamby more space to shoot and also better chances at offensive put backs. Ogwumike will add to the mix and give her many opportunities to score the rock.
WNBA Best Bet #2: Kayla McBride to record 17 or more points (-110)

Minnesota Lynx guard Kayla McBride moves the ball after receiving a pass in the offensive zone.
Got to love riding with a hot hand. We're heading to the second game and we're taking Kayla McBride to hit her points line. She is averaging is 16.2 points, 2.5 assists and 3.8 rebounds per game so far this year. Every player has stepped up with no Napheesa Collier this season.
McBride has been on fire as of late. In her last three games, she has put up more than 23 points in each game. She has cleared this line in her last six games in a row and her last seven out of eight games. Phoenix is struggling and I don't see them having an answer for her despite McBride having a bad game back in June when they last played each other.
This team is going up against a terrible Phoenix team who lost by almost 50 the other night. The blowout factor does concern me, but I think if they gain that lead, it's going to be from a big performance from McBride. Minnesota should break 100 points easily.

WNBA Best Bet #3: Olivia Miles to record 19 or more points (-130)

Minnesota Lynx guard Olivia Miles drives the ball with a defender on her.
On the last note of the scoring party, give me McBride's fellow guard, Olivia Miles to get her points. She is having a Rookie of the Year performance so far, averaging a team high 18.7 points, 5.6 assists and 4.8 rebounds per game. Absolute crazy numbers for a rookie and leading the team to first.
Miles is coming off a 23-point game and a miss prior to that. She has hit her line in her last four out of five games and seven out of her last ten games. Olivia also had 19 points in the game these two played back at the beginning of June.
I see a slaughter fest happening in this game. Same response as McBride – the blowout factor is there, but I think both these ladies will be the reason why it's a blowout, getting their points. Both of their lines are reasonable as well.
